Here is what I sent to the White House this evening. I stand FIRM in rejecting the SAFE Banking Act and believe we gain MORE as a nation together to REMOVE Cannabis from the Controlled Substance List. ๐ --------------------- Dear Mr. President and Team at the White House, I am writing once again, this time to share my strong conviction that instead of advancing another cannabis banking bill, we should take the bold step of removing cannabis from the Controlled Substances List. My previous correspondence introduced you to "The Revival," a cannabis strain I hold dear, symbolizing not just growth but a renaissance in how we view this plant. The human impact of removing cannabis from the CSA would be profound. Consider the lives of those ensnared by the outdated war on drugs. Descheduling cannabis would not only offer legal redemption but also begin to repair the social fabric torn by these policies. It would mean no more families torn apart, no more lives derailed by criminal records for what we now understand to be a plant with significant medical and industrial potential. For veterans suffering from PTSD, chronic pain, or opioid dependency, cannabis has been a lifeline where traditional pharmaceuticals have failed. Removing it from the CSA would legitimize their treatment options, potentially saving countless lives from the side effects of stronger, more dangerous medications. Economically, the benefits are clear. By removing cannabis from Schedule I, we could streamline our legal system, reducing the costs associated with enforcement, prosecution, and incarceration. This move would also unlock the full potential of the cannabis industry, allowing it to contribute to our economy in unprecedented ways. The banking bill, while well-intentioned, is a band-aid. It addresses symptoms rather than the disease. By descheduling cannabis, we would eliminate the need for such legislation; banks could serve cannabis businesses as they would any other, fostering growth without the overhead of special protections or the risk of cash-only operations. The savings in security measures alone would be significant, not to mention the tax revenue from a fully legal market. I propose we revive the spirit of "Hemp for Victory" but with a new name: "Hemp for America." I've already secured hemp seeds to offer our farmers an alternative to soy, promoting sustainable agriculture and reducing our dependence on less eco-friendly crops. Hemp can revitalize our agricultural sector, providing jobs, improving soil health, and contributing to a circular economy where hemp products can range from textiles to biofuels. Our infants would have hemp formula and our people, access to the highest source of plant-based protein on the planet. This isn't just about cannabis; it's about acknowledging the vast potential of hemp and cannabis to contribute to our nation's health, economy, and environment. By removing cannabis from the CSA, we signal to the world that America is ready to lead with innovation, justice, and compassion in drug policy reform. I urge you to consider this path not just for economic or legislative simplicity but for the human lives it would transform. Let's not settle for half-measures with another bill; let's make history by aligning our laws with science, justice, and the potential for true revival. Sincerely, Christina McDowell @POTUS

@drcaplan Yes. Thats why we must REMOVE cannabis from the CSL, not reschedule it. Our seniors deserve better. The current US MMJ system is broken and must be dissolved to open the industry for the people.

This human thumb of a โmanโ is also AZSwamp. Whereโs our audit, Tyler?
@merissahamilton @Garrett_Archer @azjustinheap Merissa, don't you think that maybe, I don't know, ALL of the dozens of court cases in which your conspiracies have been slapped down repeatedly are "receipts" enough?

@Jnet_margarita @AZSenatorShamp @KTaylorRobson Iโve met three of these people face to face. The arrogance is astounding.

Lookie here: Your first five challengers begging to be primaried. Game On!
.@AZSenatorShamp I am disappointed in this endorsement. @KTaylorRobson has literally turned her back on Republicans, has donated to Democrats down the ballot and has endorsed Democrats instead of the Republican. Very disappointed.

@TheDankInformer Doesnโt sound like โtheyโ have a choice any longer. Itโs only a matter of time and I donโt plan of giving in anytime soon. Not after what Iโve personally witnessed the last ten years. Over my dead body.

@TheDankInformer Iโm pushing for removal. Because we can actually GROW the industry. Plus theyโve yet to give us a reason we canโt prove with science in court to keep in scheduled. Take our tax money or not. Enough is enough.

@TheDankInformer South Carolina leaders should focus on yearly public audits and term limits. We can play this game too. @SCGOP @scdp
