@nate_postlethwt Learning how to comfort me, what it looks & feels like is my quest. I was responsible for other ppl’s comfort for as far as my memory reaches. However, this was not extended to me from them. It’s an achingly slow process to recover & offer comfort to me. But one only I can do.

@nate_postlethwt Space. A brilliant stop gap that allows us to gain enough distance to think more clearly. Love is crystal clear. Thrashing around in the weeds as we try to decipher the tea leaves so we don’t make an mis step isn’t a loving relationship. It’s one w fear woven throughout it.

Acceptance of what is. I’m learning to embrace this concept. I find that fighting certain realities that I deeply dislike does not make those realities cease to exist. Acceptance helps alleviate the pressure that builds within when I fail to accept what is.

@nate_postlethwt So much additional pain could be avoided if we would stop meddling in other ppl’s healing. Not inserting our opinion of what another hurting soul should or should not do or feel. Each of us are meant to recover ourselves in the safest & most peaceful way possible.
