Honestly, this is ridiculous. The show wrapped up production in March. We should have gotten a cast list a year ago. That's really worrying and feels like it's being set up to fail. You can't just coast on the goodwill of existing fans and expect that to be enough.

Also thought I'd mention, looking on Reddit apparently back in January people got an email notification saying the playbills would ship sometime in late January, presumably to prevent spoilers. It's May now. Spoilers stopped applying months ago. So why aren't people getting them?

It's a fan name from the Brazil side of the fandom—the name is associated with energetic troublemaker "Ipad kids", which The Collector who's a childlike god.
The name meanings fit on their own (Enzo means "winner", Gabriel means "God is my strength" and has angel Gabriel vibes).

Yup, in the $70 pre-order package. And according to some fans on Reddit back in late January, they got an email saying the playbills would ship in late January, presumably due to spoilers. It's May, spoilers no longer apply, why aren't people getting them?

A playbill is a pamphlet given out at Broadway productions that gives info on the cast and the song order. And supposedly these playbills contained spoilers and that's why they were delayed initially til late January, but that excuse stopped holding up months ago.

To be fair, there aren't a lot of Inuit people out there, so it would be somewhat difficult to find an Inuit actress who's close to the same age, can look/act like Katara, and have acting and martial arts experience, and find someone similar who could play Sokka.

Considering she blocked the person who did the "if Digital Circus was written by Vivziepop" meme that was just meant to poke fun and joke around, I'm guessing it's either because she's really thin-skinned or she's scamming people. Or both. Not a good look either way.

It's nothing about entitlement. it's wanting the show to succeed. If the marketing keeps up how it is currently, only targeting existing fans, the show won't gain a new audience, it will have low ratings, and it will fail, never going beyond Season 1.

They didn't cancel it for being queer at all. Dana has stated multiple times she only got pushback from one guy at the start of production, and that was it.
It was too serialized for Disney Channel and didn't pull in good viewership in the 1st season. That's it.

It's not a matter of patience at this point. Usually a show releases its cast list a year out, bare minimum. We don't even have that. And if Hazbin doesn't get proper advertising, the show will fail and never go beyond season 1. We don't want it to fail.

No one had a problem with those because they were just new takes on the public domain fairy tales. But if you're going to do an adaptation of a specific adaptation in a new medium, like Tangled in this case, the characters should be accurate to how they are in that adaptation.

The writer strike has nothing to do with it because Hazbin Season 1 finished production in March. The SAG strike would affect it but SAG is letting A24 continue with marketing their stuff, so that's not. I think the streaming service backed out and now A24 has to find a new one.

She went to Hot Topic recently to discuss merch, there seems to be some degree of involvement. At the very least it seems scammy to go from "delayed to late January due to spoilers" to "delayed more, no explanation". All people want is an update for what they paid $70 for.

The writers strike wouldn't affect it at all (Hazbin's writing has been done for likely 2 years since production finished 6 months ago). The actors strike does affect it since things are approved on a per project basis, but it seems Hazbin was delayed a month before that.

Katara's actress is fully indigenous and Sokka's actor is half-indigenous half-Asian. There may have been other indigenous actors who were a little darker but didn't embody the characters as much or weren't as good in the initial "Blue Dawn" script readings.

I thought there would be around 20 episodes like the usual season. Only 8 seems underwhelming. 8 makes sense for something like Stranger Things because those are 50 minutes long, the Hazbin episodes will likely be 20 minutes at most.
