DOGE'S JOB - CUT 1% of GDP. With knock on impact, could be 1.5% to 2%. RAMIFICATIONS? If you aren't enjoying the DC madness, you better just tune it out. It's going to get more chaotic, not less. Elon is right in the middle of it and he's the whipping boy for the leftist press and the Democratic spokes tools, and he just doesn't care.

@bearcat_pilot Pretty sure Trump and Musk get this. Plenty of pressure on Republicans to stay the course.

PARTLY PERSONAL: The owner of our local florist was a personal friend. He agreed to let me come in on a Friday night after close, and take all the flowers that would be no good on Monday. I used every vase in the house and then some, and my wife thought I was a really romantic guy. For a day or two.

@madge254 @nextbigfuture @elonmusk @DOGE @WR4NYGov @TeslaBoomerMama I haven't run my own major business for 17 years, but we used to keep some paper. But only those things which we were super concerned about. With switching out discs every night and have cloud backup, too, the digital version was way more secure than the paper.

Yes, but I read 100's of articles per day and see even more headlines and subs. So I have a sense of the direction and sentiment shift. While the public is favoring Trump and DOGE's efforts, the press is coming unglued with dumb statements about illegality which are not close to true, as the courts are now showing.

@madge254 @nextbigfuture @elonmusk @DOGE @WR4NYGov @TeslaBoomerMama No business or government that is up to date is keeping paper files since, 1990 at least. Maybe longer.

Our own Brian Wang @nextbigfuture has just reached #8 of all the futurists who make their predictions on Congratulations to Brian. In this video he predicts how he believes the Robotaxi business will turn out as Tesla competes with Uber and Waymo.

Hopefully Elon Mosque also help the government to put it in a better system for acquiring and providing data regarding the economy
Wholesale inflation is normally revised and is admittedly volatile, but it's amazing how last 4 years always seemed to be revised up much more than normal; case in point, Jan's M/M rate jumps from 0.4% to 0.6% - inflation was always worse than first estimated...

If you follow this thread and my videos, you know that this has been what we’ve been saying for weeks
Uber CEO in new interview on @Tesla potentially being their biggest problem/competitor: "No one wants to compete against Tesla or Elon, if you can help it. Their capabilities are pretty extraordinary, but I think the same economic laws apply to them. Ultimately, if Tesla puts their cars on our network, we already have 150,000 drivers who are driving Teslas, and if they get FSD, they’d love to plug it into Uber as well. Then, that Tesla that is both on Uber, and by the way, they could be both on Uber and the network, that is going to create much, much more revenue. Ultimately, that’ll increase the value of the Tesla so that the residual value of that car improves, and if they don’t do that, there’ll be some other OEM that does it. So it all comes back to revenue generation, you have a box with wheels, you want to maximize the revenue of that box in order to reduce your cost of capital, and economic laws apply to Tesla, just as they do to any other car company. To some extent, you look at the food business. I’ll go there, right? McDonald’s has its own app, and has an incredible brand, has a lot of capital, has terrific reach. They still work with Uber Eats and DoorDash, because they want to drive utilization of the box called the restaurant, that same economic value is going to be true going forward. Ultimately, we’re hoping that my charm and the economic argument gets Tesla to work with us as well. If they want a direct channel, no problem."

💯💯💯
After three weeks of experience with this Trump presidency, I have come to regret how I supported Trump. Putting Musk in charge of DOGE. Firing civil servants. Letting 20-something tech bros have access to the Treasury and social security. Shutting down USAID. Banning transwomen from women's sports. Renaming the Gulf of Mexico. Completely erasing DEI language from the government. Rounding up immigrants. American troops on our own border. All of it has been shocking and overwhelming, truly. And I am ashamed. If I had known how all of this would play out, I would have tattooed MAGA on my forehead, wrapped myself in the American flag, and shouted my support for Trump from every rooftop.
