@ksusys @XE1000A @CohenSite The CAHSR project has already done #1 and #2, and is working on #3 and #4 for both the Merced-Bakersfield portion and SF to LA portion.

The state doesn’t have the budget necessary for a single tens of billion dollar capital project w/out cuts to other priorities. Prop 1A only covered $10B of the original $33B budget.

@XE1000A @CohenSite No, I think that’s just for Merced to Bakersfield. As far as I’m aware, there isn’t actually a timetable for LA to SF, since the full phase 1 is not funded. They still need money to do land acquisition, and that would happen in 2028. Then if funded, start construction, ending TBD

@wong_guey @CohenSite I wonder if this has anything to do with the program requirements changing after projects were entitled/pulled permits . I heard there are now half-completed projects that are stalled because they don’t qualify for the latest round of homekey criteria.

@JMGregorchuk @CohenSite You don’t need to file a claim with the city. Unless the city entered into a tolling agreement with you, the statute of limitations to sue would expire after three months.

@CohenSite You could do a class action declaratory relief claim at any time, but there’s little incentive to do that as a class because no damages are awarded for dec relief claims, and even attorney’s fees aren’t guaranteed in those cases if you win.
