@JMGregorchuk That $10k per unit is only if the city fails to comply with the court order after they’ve been sued and lost.

@JMGregorchuk @SukritGanesh The HAA (GC 65589.5(k)(1)(A)(ii)) awards attorneys fees if the plaintiff is successful.

@about_dave @mnolangray I think the county is reading this as requiring exactly one inch margin, not at least a one inch margin. The mayor was wrong that this could be solved with a paper cutter though, because then the paper wouldn’t be 460mm x 660mm

@Spelt_D_o_n_a_l @YIMBYLAND Omg. The deep state woke agenda must be behind every department of *trans*portation!

@ksusys @XE1000A @CohenSite I don’t disagree, but it’s interesting that this has become such a hot button issue when nobody bats an eye at the F-35 joint strike fighter program’s going over budget from $233B to $1.7 Trillion!

@ksusys @XE1000A @CohenSite This type of transportation infrastructure project is typically paid for with federal funds. The state doesn’t have the budget necessary for a single tens of billion dollar capital project w/out cuts to other priorities. Prop 1A only covered $10B of the original $33B budget.

@XE1000A @CohenSite No, I think that’s just for Merced to Bakersfield. As far as I’m aware, there isn’t actually a timetable for LA to SF, since the full phase 1 is not funded. They still need money to do land acquisition, and that would happen in 2028. Then if funded, start construction, ending TBD

@wong_guey @CohenSite I wonder if this has anything to do with the program requirements changing after projects were entitled/pulled permits . I heard there are now half-completed projects that are stalled because they don’t qualify for the latest round of homekey criteria.

@wong_guey @CohenSite Any examples? If that’s the case, they should be sold and the property value should be returned to the Homekey program for reallocation.

@BRCordova1989 @bedoohan @susanslusser This exhibition looks exactly the same as when I was there in December 2022.

@JMGregorchuk @CohenSite You don’t need to file a claim with the city. Unless the city entered into a tolling agreement with you, the statute of limitations to sue would expire after three months.

@CohenSite You could do a class action declaratory relief claim at any time, but there’s little incentive to do that as a class because no damages are awarded for dec relief claims, and even attorney’s fees aren’t guaranteed in those cases if you win.
