This past weekend I graduated from @StanfordLaw with an LLM in Law, Sci & Tech. By the grace of God alone! Grateful to @nickopiyo and the other kind souls God used to bless and amaze me on this journey! I met and encountered kindness I didn’t know possible. What a journey!

I was raised by two arts teachers. I watched my mom struggle to make ends meet when days were tough. Enduring the debate on unequal pay to arts teachers is just heartbreaking. They too live among us. They have kids to raise. Families to feed. Don’t blackmail them. Pay them well.

This is my last tweet on all things COVID. I have been keeping my peace. But the inequality and unfairness in this country is sickening. One day, I hope we all express just how fed up we are. Is it too much to ask of leaders to be fair and to care? Is that too much to ask? Is it?

Uganda’s blocking of social media ahead of an election is autocratic. It has nothing to do with National interest. It inconveniences and hurts a lot more than it helps. We should be doing better.

My view on the latest LDC results: before you lambast the institution and its teachers, have an HONEST conversation with at least two teachers and two students. Get perspective, then form a view you can defend. Each story is unique. Each case is different. We generalise too much.

Uganda's State Minister for Tourism is out of line. That we reduce a section of Uganda's women to a tourist attraction is wrong. It is offensive on so many fronts. He has displayed a complete lack of appreciation of what Ug Tourism is and should be about. Kiwanda should resign.

Before they built Nalubale bridge, the narrative was the Rippon falls wouldn’t be affected. Dam would be too far. I miss the Rippon Falls. Before they built Bujagali dam, argument was the falls wouldn’t be affected. Dam would be 20km downstream. Falls are gone. I miss them.

This tweet has stayed with me and brought back an idea I have spoken about to some few close friends. It’s time to do something about it. When lockdown is lifted and gatherings are permitted, I will host a Baraza for young adults (20-35). Let’s open the conversation. Who’s in?
I wish churches preached more about mental health issues and how their sheep can navigate them within the framework of the bible/faiths. Not everyday, God will give you a 'big' car/ job/ spouse. Most people are usually one crisis away from giving up on God entirely.

So, let’s see: pple spent billions in road construction and endured an impossible traffic mess over several years in the promise of a more efficient use of the clock tower junction. They then opened the road without installing traffic lights, only to resort to temp measures. Aha.

Someone should publish 'The Complete Works of Tamale Mirundi' I bet there's enough content to make at least two volumes.
