The athletic department would like to thank Coach Doug Welch for 20+ years of dedication to RJR and especially the baseball program. He will be sorely missed and we wish him the absolute best as he goes on his next chapter in life back in his home state of Texas.
We are approved! Today, the City-County Planning Board approved site plans for the RJR multi-sport facility adjacent to Hanes Park. We can now move forward with construction plans and kick off a major fundraising push.

Coach Crowley has stepped down as the head football coach at RJR. We thank him for his time and service to not only the football program but the school community as a whole. A search for his replacement will begin immediately.

The Female Athlete of the Year was All State in Field Hockey and was all conference in previous years in Lacrosse (Covid-19 cancelled this years season after 4 games)
She plans to attend UNC Chapel Hill in the fall

Dustin Sneed, RJR Class of 2014, finished 182 overall in the Boston Marathon today. Approximately 29978 runners started the race. He was the 181 male and 168 in his age group.
Kudos to Caroline Echols who ran a sub 20:00 race in the state cross country championships finishing 21st and broke conference meet records in swimming all in one day.
