As good as DavPro's adaptation of Jojo is, I really wish they'd take some creative liberties with scene direction more often instead of using the manga as a storyboard for the majority of the show. The OVA was fucking fantastic whenever it went off the rails with animation.

The relevancy of the actual card game in-universe can add so much to a show. GX showed characters opening packs, deckbuilding and having bonds with their favorite cards. In most of VRAINS it feels so tertiary to the story they might as well have been dueling with laser tag.
