I've been playing consistently since FU, including frontier, and I was perfectly fine at the water combat, I just didn't enjoy it. It felt slow, clunky, and tacked on.

Calling back the kinsect should do more than a heal and a stamina refill for the bug. IG is not a support weapon.
The dash should be a basic ability.
Descending thrust (the other silkbind) should be a basic ability.
Real IG players can see how they're getting fucked again.
