@MoneySavingExp @HalifaxBank I will have to travel some distance to close an empty account. That is ridiculous and unsustainable. ☹️ 2/2

@SkyNews The people responsible are the supporters and voters that have a relentless thirst for tax cuts. The only way to quench their thirst is to cut services to the bone. Nobody is prepared to pay for idle resources to fight against 100, 50, 20 or even 10 year catastrophes now.

@SkyNews It's far more reaching than that, Musk's comments are affecting how many in the rest of the world are viewing all aspects of the UK, not just politics. I don't think he realises this. He doesn't appreciate the responsibility resting on his shoulders with the power at his disposal

@SkyNews UK used to have masses of storage. Just-in-time mentality to reduce capacity, to cut costs to the bone, inevitably leaves us vulnerable. It's all about maximising profit over providing proper service in all sectors. The thirst for higher, exponential profits will bite us back.

@afneil Haven't you noticed, the UK has been a rip-off for decades. Greed, especially at the top, is the word and its getting worse.

@VotedReform @RobertJenrick There are hundreds of solutions but the Tories and their supporters have never wanted to afford them. That is the sole reason the UK has been left in such a mess. Can you all wake up and realise the reparations will not come for free!

@Keir_Starmer Energy prices, their overheads and profits are the root cause of too high running costs of the UK. Taking back control of the Energy Companies and regulating prices/stdg chgs will reduce inflation, reduce the cost of living, reduce business costs for all instantly.

@supertanskiii Everyone, no, make that the MP's, thought raising their salaries to more professional levels would bring in talent to Government. The poor Parliamentary decline has proved this wrong. I don't want gold diggers in Government, I want people who care.

@BladeoftheS If you want one freedom in the EU, a joining country has to accept all EU freedoms. That's the problem. When the EU started and UK agreed to join, it was just a single market, all the other EU freedoms followed. Now it's all or nothing.

@BBCNews What is fundamentally wrong in this country, is right there. Capitalistic greed of banking, energy prices, water, broadband. Correcting/ regulating these industries properly would solve most of our problems like inflation, fuel/ data poverty and ultimately wellbeing.

@BBCNWT If Thatcher hadn't given them away far too cheaply while failing to realise it wouldn't remove future people's need for council houses, with regulated sensible rents, we wouldn't be experiencing the current uncontrollable exponential private rental increases.

@afneil It's a necessary consequence of the previous Govts neglect of this country for so long. Reparations need to be paid for one way or another. Why don't you, and all the other journalistic critics, tell us what you would do to repair the UK, instead just constantly complaining?

@virginmedia This must be AI dialogue. Can a UK onshore supervisor please ring me to solve our problem.

@virginmedia You, like your operatives on the phone are not getting the problem. If a genuine user has genuinely mislaid or forgotten there credentials your system does not offer any other opportunity to manage their a/c. We are at an insurmountable brick wall and cannot solve the problem.
