I’ve just heard a tipster employed by a leading market odds website say he’s against Nature Strip in the King Stand because “he has no form in the UK” - his selection for the race? Golden Pal… Jesus wept
It’s June 2029, Frankie Dettori & Wesley Ward have just arrived at Royal Ascot. Frankie is set to ride the hot favourite in the Norfolk who Wesley says is the ‘best 2 year old he’s ever trained’ on what Frankie says is ‘probably one of my last rides in England this month’
@CFCDaily
Could the Raphinha bid not just be a ploy to get Barca to pull their finger out and wrap up the signing so we can pick up Dembele? Might be too much of a reach but makes some sense
@SteveBakerHW
Are they Steve or will this just allow the government to step up plans for vax passports to apply to those only with 3x dose and then charge anyone else who doesn’t have 3 for an LFT? That’s how it appears to me, happy to be wrong though!
I’ve stepped up my mask-wearing. It’s up to you of course. But with Omicron rates sky-high, I now wear an
@EveryDoctorUK
mask as soon as I leave the flat (walking on the street/ in the park etc), and switch to an FFP2/3 when in a crowded place like public transport…
💷 If Vaucelet wins the 18:35 at Punchestown today I’ll give one of you £40 in CASH!

Leading tipster has just tipped up an unraced horse for the Supreme Novices at 12/1, yes 12/1 off the back of a public racecourse gallop last week. Jesus, the game is gone lads
“Not much point” - And you wonder why an Irishman who trains here part time is going to win the Trainers Championships if this is the attitude of his competitors
❌ CALDWELL POTTER is unlikely to go to the Punchestown Festival, Paul Nicholls says.
“He won’t run until next season.
“He is in at Punchestown, but I think I’ve persuaded the boys that I’m not keen to go as there’s not much point.
“We might run him in one hurdle race next
Jo Mason is the best female jockey on the flat, her figures back that up. She’s only spoken about less in comparison to others as she’s based in the North
Amazing performance and the result that racing needed. We NEED superstars to survive, we won’t without them. This is one. Regardless if you backed it or not enjoy this and savour it, trust me we needed this
The only racecourse in the country trending upwards, there’s a reason for that. They do the simple things right where others don’t. Great, affordable hospitality and top quality racing + prize money on offer. Well done to
@yorkracecourse
once again
Frozen ticket prices have helped put York in a prime position for its first fixture of 2024, with the crowd for the Dante festival anticipated to be up on last season
Club managed by suspected wife beater and someone who’s stubbed a cigarette out in a teammate’s eye. Strange time to start taking the moral high ground

You’ve got 24 hours to find as many tweets as you can by me expressing an opinion on how jockeys perform their duties. Go…
Jumps fans getting frustrated that Flightline is retired meanwhile their gelding turns up 3 times a year when the ground suits and they’re a 1/8 favourite. Sort your own house out before attempting to take on others and try and complete a race card whilst you’re at it
Westover, Hukum & Adayar all sold to stand in Japan this year. Meanwhile we are cramming Listed & Group 3 winning juvenile sprinters into an already saturated stallion book obsessed with cheap speed. Very sad to see what has become of middle distance racing in this country

Take him out of the squad and sell him for 1/3 of the price in the summer. Write it off as an expensive mistake of which we’ve made plenty before and strive to correct it next time. Much better than compromising our manager for the next few years
16 year old kid having to do a written apology for being pictured with a newspaper whilst he’s trying to navigate most high pressured time of his life. Embarrassing scenes from those causing him grief
* STATEMENT TO EVERYONE FROM US *
Today a photograph of me holding up a newspaper has been published in the media.
The media attention I have been getting is very new to me and I didn't fully understand at the time what I was being asked to do.
Incompetence maybe, or an attempt to stiff me to take a reduced payout, perhaps both. It’s becoming too tiresome now. Can’t get a bet online, can barely in a shop and even when they ‘lay’ it you’re getting questioned upon payout. Boring old game this has become
“Hi am I through to Buckingham Palace? Yes hi, Hugh Taylor here, AtTheRaces. Can you let Charlie know I’m tipping one of his in the first at Windsor, make sure he’s on first. Cheers.”
@HughRacing
What a great idea, if you (Hugh) gave us the heads up (Owner) before you tip our horses up no problem.
What you need to remember we pay the bills, all the best Hugh.
I placed an Antepost bet last Wednesday in a
@WilliamHill
shop for a race that took place this Saturday gone. The bet was laid at 3/1 and the horse obliged with an SP of 8/11. I was told the bet would be settled at SP because the bet wasn’t logged on the system as AP at the time

30k at Cheltenham and everyone shits the bed. Twice that at football games every weekend nobody gives a toss. Stop coming after racing at every opportunity, it’s boring
Unpopular opinion - Auguste Rodin the most charmed horse in racing. Epsom Derby, Irish Derby, Breeders Cup Turf & now the Prince of Wales. Races all won by having the perfect sit in pace collapses. Credit the jockey more than the horse, when it’s not run to suit he doesn’t win
@EssexPR
I’m double vax with a live case of Omicron. If that isn’t enough immunity against a virus that has given me zero symptoms, I’m done with the lot of this
@CFCPys
@Matt_Law_DT
Arteta took over a depleted team that needed a complete clear out and also won a domestic trophy in his first season. We have spent £600m, a lot of which under Potter’s leadership and are displaying relegation form whilst out of both domestic cups and heading out of the UCL
Blogger & Tim Sherwood teaming up for a new racing podcast with William Hill. I knew we were in a strange era of modern society but that has probably topped the lot for me
@CFCDaily
Net spend of zero having won the champions league, pretty unambitious effort that could end up in disaster if we don’t bring in one or two more
Thanks all for the messages. I hope as many of you took the 100s as possible. I let the side down
@BarstewardsThe
with the rest of my action today but that one felt sweet. Superb tipping by all the lads today with several other winners. Enjoy your weekend’s all ❤️
Cheltenham Antepost fetishists in full swing in late October. Tipsters all over it, stable tours leading to prices being smashed across the board. This is why I struggle to get into jumps racing as much as the flat. You’ve got a full winter of good racing, enjoy that first ffs
Dragon Symbol & Castle Star both securing domestic stud deals for 2024. Both horses hold a joint career total of just 4 wins from 26 runs, neither winning above G3 level. They add to an already oversaturated stallion book obsessed with cheap speed, further devaluing of the breed
No surprise how tired and boring racing has become when this is a take of one of their leading pundits. Everyone is a ‘moron’ unless they have a double barrelled surname and inherited their status from their father. No cravats on show at the Palace
Delighted for Luke Humphries, a modest, likeable man deserving of being world champion. Littler mature and generous in defeat. A thrilling match featuring two great darts players before a crowd of absolute morons.
This wasn’t quite the exposé you thought it was. This will probably gain said bookmaker more customers. All I see here is a risk of getting paid out, no different to every bookmaker on the Oddschecker grid. Highly hypocritical for this lot to be slandering this type of practice
Believing he was speaking to a prospective customer, Simcock told an undercover reporter the firm employed ten people, had 1,300 customers and expected a "ridiculously busy" Cheltenham Festival. He recommended the customer deposit "as much as you can"
@rosscojmill
Classic patronising take from racing hoi palloi. What’s a person’s weight got to do with an opinion on how a horse is campaigned? A poor take and an even poorer attempt at humour, back to the drawing board
Rattling quick ground for the Guineas card at Longchamp today and yet once again lazily labelled as ‘Soft’ by

- if you don’t want to cover French racing properly, don’t bother at all.
The average smoker spends around £47 a week on tobacco, around £2,450 a year.
On average, stopping smoking would have increased disposable incomes by 9% in 2019, ranging from 6.4% in London to 11.4% in the North East.

Heartwarming to see Redemption Day get his head in front in only his fourth year running in Bumpers. Maybe, just maybe, he’ll be able to make the step up to hurdling in the next few years
A lot of DMs asking how to take

Agree or disagree? 🤔
Is it too soft or too quick for Edwardstone I’m genuinely not even sure anymore? Completely farcical. He has wins on ground ranging from GS to Heavy. Fine the trainer the next time the horse turns up on today’s ground, only way forward
Ahh listen when you’re in Rome you don’t upset the Pope. But when you’re in the arse end of California you stick three in that could all win and if they scratch one another will pick it up… delighted for the lads
Nearly a year to the day I was convinced by my good friend
@jhchevaux
to get involved in this Havana Grey colt and we now hold a Guineas entry. A long way to go yet and he’ll have to prove he stays, but very exciting all the same. Up the Bufalo! 🐃

From refusing to race as a 2 year old to a Group Three second as a 3 year old. Fantastic work by

and team to get Silver Sword to produce that kind of effort. Congratulations to all and a great end to the season for a yard who are going places!
Hilarious how portions of ‘Racing Twitter’ seem to have a moral issue with a bookmaker sponsoring a flagship race. Who do you bet with, your local butcher?
I have been made aware today that Epsom are reducing the field size of the 3yo Dash on Saturday because they have a stabling issue. So essentially have planned a race day that if full field sizes were met, they wouldn’t be able to accommodate. A scandalous lack of foresight (1/2)

Such a strange sport we have. Why can’t we enjoy supreme performances? The sport is on its arse, we need 130+ performers and we got one today. Enjoy it and embrace it otherwise what’s the point?
People are having a go at James, but he is spot on. Times are a joke today. People need to chill out about City Of Troy. Wouldn’t lace top class Juddmonte winners boots. He’s beaten a 110 horse who wants 12f and 112 rated Ghostwriter. He’s hardly a generational talent
A brilliant horseman and trainer. Delighted to have been involved in the yard a while, ahead of the curve. So much hard work goes in behind the scenes and the results are there to see. Well done team 👏
"I've got to thank the Sarkar family for the support, to pay them back with a Brocklesby winner is massive" 👏
