So that's my point... Double the margin on the additional batteries and people will still buy. But also make the message: you do not need to buy the XLong Range version (and then lower the range of it and make it even more affordable). You're so angry you are not understanding I agree with most of what you are saying) - they should offer a 225-250 mi version that is more affordable.

So I met you in the middle... If 400 is too much for 98% (point 1) then decrease the amount of batteries and make the car even more affordable to accelerate the transition (point 3). For the people that want more range (more batteries, more weight, more cost (point 2)) rip them off and over charge to make them happy. The amount of people in this group would be staggering (to you)

@WR4NYGov Anyone that lives in the northern states or tows with the Y would pay whatever for this extra range (even though you don't think so) and Tesla would make additional profit at the same time.
