I don’t think it’s “so awful.” I enjoyed a lot of it and there were genuinely some great, innovative ideas, but damn, they needed at least eight more hours to actually flesh out the plot if they were gonna be this ambitious with it. I can only hope the DLCs help.

Eh, idk. In the books it was formed from Eddie’s blood in combination with bits of loose (dead?) Symbiote, it was organic, but it wasn’t sentient, like you said. But in the game, it’s a Symbiote that was forced to go through some kind of conditioning. It seems like Li “tamed” it.
