Oh man, I'm so excited! Polish poet @Grzegor54109874 and his band @trupatrupaband (recently written up in @RollingStone) and coming to San Francisco and I will be there at Kilowatt to hear them jam.
I saw @trupatrupaband on their last US tour in 2022, and I'm really excited for them to make the trip from Poland in a few weeks. Anyone who likes hypnotic post-punkāthis is for you. For Bay Area folks, they're playing Kilowatt on Wed 2/19:

RIP to the iconic, brilliant & beautiful Marianne Faithfull. One of my favorite apocryphal song origin tales comes from her memoir. As she woke from a drug coma, Mick Jagger sobbed "I thought we'd lost you." "Oh darling," she replied, "wild horses couldn't drag me away." š

I have many favorite @Faithfull_M songs. But this is the captain of them all; this brilliant, funny, haunting, dark Harry Nilsson song called "Don't Forget Me." Please...only listen if you're ready to have a really good cry.

Heartbreaking. I saw her twice at the Fillmore in SF. Favorite night was with Dodie Bellamy and Kevin Killian. We were inches away from the stage and caught in the spell of her bewitching voice. It was a memorable night. Kevin even wrote about it in one of his Amazon reviews.

Our hearts break for the families who lost loved ones in the tragic plane and helicopter crash at DCA. Michelle and I send our prayers and condolences to everyone who is mourning today, and weāre grateful to the first responders who are doing everything they can to help under extremely difficult circumstances.
