drama. This BBC article, one of many, says it "wrecked the physical, mental and economic health" of sub-postmasters.
It did.
It did to me 20 years ago.
I still suffer.

So strange seeing my name in the news again this week. Remember for me this was 2 decades ago. The thing to remember is - this proves the PO knew Horizon was faulty back then, yet continued to ruin lives, and still haven’t paid recompense to most.
That’s all I’m going to say.

I know not many will read this, but I want to say one thing about with the
#HorizonScandal
is that many postmasters/mistresses were ostracised by their community, friends and family. We were made to look like crooks by those in power. It ruined reputations. Not easily healed.

slowly disappearing from the public consciousness again after the publicity garnered from

. How long before it's all forgotten about again like it was 20 years ago and the victims are still left suffering and uncompensated?

I’m sure Chris meant no offence, but I totally understand it’s a sore subject. I settled years ago, and it didn’t cover the upset, hurt, reputational damage and family fallout, but what could? The lawyers, as always, are the only real winners here.

So sad & just one of THOUSANDS of cases. Paying us back the money we had to pay because we were falsely accused of stealing is NOT compensation. What about the years of depression, the public shaming, the houses lost, the relationships burned? There's not enough money to fix that

It never ends. They just want us all to die of old age so they can save money on payouts. So many lives in ruins.
Former sub-postmaster, Alan Bates, has told GMB he intends to reject a compensation offer from the government, which he described as "derisory" and "cruel".
He said the figure was just one-sixth of what he hoped for.

I have very, very mixed feelings. It's wonderful to see some justice being done, but it's far too late. I've been a bit hounded by the press in the last few weeks, tired of putting them off all the time, but fortunately I'm mostly off the radar. My love to your Mum.
