First Post-Patch 3 Combat Fire cape Achieved!
An update on December 16 2020 patched the melee-tickeat strategy used to negate XP in previous lvl 3 capes.
A new method was created to make this realistically possible.
10 melees were killed using this method, over a 40 hour run.

Solo Muta 6/6 tree skip:
Muttadile often loses it's interaction with the player for 1 tick. Precisely timing a hitsplat to occur on these ticks causes them to "skip" their healing.
The ticks are almost always predictable.
Likely not very useful due to long periods of immunity.

Sincerely hope that rope skip alternatives existing doesn't take away from how important reverting the recent update is, to Jagex.

legit evry1 was using corrupt weps bc they were OP and extremely abundant (rly strong, but still rly cheap/low risk). If you wna incentivize ppl to do content, then don't offer strong alternatives to uniques that end up bein basically free. Expected a removal, not a buff tbh 😭

OSRS combat is simple on the surface, yet blessed with emergent gameplay, bc of certain mechanics/"bugs" like 1t flicking.
Cool niche stuff's already been removed at points :(. Flicking's presence is extremely broad. Attempts to remove it are even more worrying/disappointing-1/2

It doesn't register as fast as a melee weapon. It has the exact same projectile delay as other bows/most range weapons from that distance. It looks fast here because pid swapped when he dbow specced, making it 1t apart from his knife instead of 2t.

Here's a survey Q about "Hard Mode OSRS".
Some say strategies like flicking are too OP. But if you strip away every strong PvM strat, you're left with bashing an NPC, afking, and hoping you roll bigger than the NPC does.
I don't see what is engaging, or challenging about that.

Create an interesting GWD method using red X? Shoutouts on the Q&A.
Red X at Cerb? Bug abuse major.
Sharing a niche method is a gamble on whether it's decided to be “OP” or not. Seemingly little thought is put into that decision.

What makes glory "unfarmable"? The blog says it'll be awarded every wave. Wouldn't this mean it's possible (but maybe slow) to get enough glory to unlock the new cape, without actually beating every wave?
Or is glory just like a PB score, and not something that accumulates?

Looks cool. I feel like some changes would be good, though:
- No RNG in prize distribution
- Less autocompleted quests
- Remove blighted items concept
- Nerf to global droptable compared to previous seasons (put pvp weapons and emblems on boss tables instead)

The sfx isnt delayed. The sound starts in sync with the next server tick, which is exactly when your prayer is actually activating. This is important for multiple reasons related to feedback. Making the sound play instantly after it's clicked would ironically cause more confusion

This is what happens if you *completely remove* the current "red click bug" behavior. Pay attention to what happens when Dovy attacks KQ.
It was purposely implemented in 2014, following a poll.
Many 1:1/2:1 methods, and "offtick" strategies rely on it.

If jad transmog is a 100% reward, consider adding 6 jads to the inferno itself (opt-in, replace triple jad wave), rather than a standalone challenge.
Anyone with a cape can kill 6 jads relatively easily, since it's so easy to spam attempts. This makes it harder to brute-force.

Quest speedrunning sounds awesome!
A suggestion I have is: let players pick their setups that they use for the quests, instead having presets.
There's lots of clever strats that can be used to save time, that involve non-required items.
It'd make runs much more interesting.

What attack style does TzKal-Zuk's projectile attack use?
Monster Examine spell claims that Zuk's max hit is 251, but this seems to be from his unused/nonexistent melee attack

If you scroll more, you'll see that Bea5 was rank 1 3cb Slayer, and the first (+2nd) lvl 3 to obtain the Chaos Elemental pet.
He is one of the absolute best, and most knowledgeable when it comes to restricted accounts.

8 X-clicks. Keep in mind I counted my clicks wrong in the clip, as I forgot to count my second X-click.
For anyone watching: I recommend skipping to 16:15 once the woodcutting section starts, for an abridged version that still shows the method.

He's saying that properly maintaining a difficult skilling method (which I strongly agree do exist) for 6 hours is much more difficult than for 5 minutes.
Saying an 820k of granite doesn't have any difficulty beyond simply playing for 6 hours straight is a lil ridiculous (imo)
