The totally reshaped fairway bunker on 13 has had the sand added and spread. Avoid at all costs or a double becomes a real possibility!

More progress on our new tee programme for our 47 course with the finishing touches to the new 15th tee. These tees will help new players develop confidence, whilst helping keep shorter hitters enjoying the game longer. #growthegame

New 47 tees (4,700 yard course) coming on great. These tees have been designed to help golfers at the beginning of their golf journey and for those with a carry of less than 100 yards. Tees have been built on the other side of carries so ALL golfers can enjoy the game they love

Greens had a sharp hand cut last week before the latest storm. Over wintering very well and all bodes well for the season ahead 😎

Beautiful but frosty day out on the course. Visibility was unbelievable with such clear skies. Some interesting bounces!

All at the Club are devastated to learn of the death of the legendary Trevor Foster and all our thoughts are with his family and close friends at this very difficult time. He was an incredible player for us, @Lancashiregolf @EnglandGolf & also represented Europe. A great man RIP

After 6 years of restoring our whole course our last contractor @GreasleyGolf has left site! Our Member funded Good2Great project has seen us build 71 new bunkers, 40 new tees, & miles of irrigation. We’ve remodelled fairways, restored the heath, & opened up the views 🤩

Another great Club night with the brilliant @BumbleCricket talking cricket, football and music halls! Even managed a great rendition of Sweet Caroline 🎶🎶. Great MC’ing by Paul Allott as well. “Good times never seem so good”

Every heathland course I’m sure battles with gorse and stopping it spreading everywhere. 3 years ago we put in heather plugs and spread brash over an area where heather had once been. Whilst the heather is doing great the gorse was taking over. Step in @pgcgolf 💪💪💪🪓🪓

Another Heather project completed today. 3 years ago we totally stripped a 100 yard long area to the left of the 11th hole which now has lots of heather in. This area will join up to the new fairway bunker making it much more natural looking as the 2 areas merge together

@pgcgolf doing a great job during this dreadful weather of working on priority areas for tree and shrub clearance. Area to the back of the 12th greatly improved for sun and airflow ☀️🌞💨
