A D4 15% risk has been issued for Sunday by the SPC. Damaging winds large hail and tornadoes are all possible stay update this will change.

I’m having a feeling that if your above this line the 15% risk will be snipped off there because the GFS is showing some pretty interesting stuff south of US24. Wouldn’t be surprised if they take that off. Just a reminder this is just what the GFS is saying now

I am watching a system that is looking like it could come in during Halloween trick or treating. Looking like it could be snowing during Halloween. Accumulations looking like a half inch to an inch of snow. Areas near the lake could mix. Keeping an eye if this goes robust.

HRRR loaded in and it’s showing explosive severe thunderstorm development. The beginning stages of the event could open a 2 hour window of a tornado threat. This thing will evolve to a damaging MCS with bowing segments. I expect a big trend north with the slight risk.

An enhanced risk upgrade has been made for the area. Destructive winds up to 75 to even maybe 95mph! Large hail 2+ inches are possible. This event is really ramping up!

The RRFS and the HRRR are in full disagreement HRRR what’s a full on derecho and the RRFS wants stand alone supercells. I think the HRRR is more accurate for this event

Models have been showing a signal of a possible winter storm next week. This is not set in stone yet because we are a bit over a week out but we know some type of storm is coming next week. The CPC has bumped are chances of heavy snow up a bit more. Gonna have to watch this

There will be a window in the afternoon where there is a chance for a discrete supercells and damaging clusters of storms. Between 3-8pm. Damaging winds and large hail seems to be the main threat but can’t rule out a couple of tornadoes….

Cells are around the area. The good news so far is that there not organized and the environment right now isn’t too good. The bad news is there are 2 cells that both have a potential too produce a tornado.
