Our IHSA enrollment is 421.5 (🤷♂️)
Assuming half are boys, that puts our boys enrollment at 210.25
Which mean 19% of our boys population is considering track and field. That’s awesome.

Some of you may be wondering about the whole "You'll never run alone" theme. It may be a bit tacky. It is what it is.
Before the conference meet last year, we were not having a good season. Things just weren't coming along.

I hate the phrase the grind. I run because I love it. It’s not always fun but I always feel great about myself when I’m done. Enjoy what you do. The world needs less grinders going through the motions and more people who find passion and joy in what they do.

My favorite race: Maddie Dossett tore her ACL and meniscus 6 months ago today. She asked to run one last race. She has only been able to run limited amounts. She finished. And for that, I am super proud.

We have won 8 of the past 9 titles of the team.
People think it’s because of studs. And we have had our share.
But it’s also because of things like the 6 athletes who were not in the roster to compete who showed up to scream for their team mates.

We are a public school. Per the IHSA, our total enrollment is 390.
Last year we had the 2nd fastest outdoor 4x2 in class 1A (1:30.25), and placed 4th in the 4x1, running 43.45.
Saturday, we ran 1:35.91, good for current

We used 4 different runners than last year.

I am proud of our 4x1 depth this year! Our top two teams have ran 44.08 FAT and 45.4 for the f/s team. There is no overlap there, 8 different guys! There are 10 100 guys on our team with the ability to break 12! (Our enrollment is 404…so please be nice)

If you’re a young guy upset at your times against the vets remember this: captain Luke McGraw started his career with a 59 4x4 split and a 2:34 4x8 split. He now runs a 50.9 4x4 split and a 1:59.8 open 800.

Yesterday, 46 male athletes showed up to the track meeting.
We have 404.5 total students in the school (the number is a 2 year IHSA average, per rules…so that’s how you get the 1/2.)
So, assuming there are 202 boys in the school, 23% of all males are interested in track.
