Things NOT to joke about - Getting laid off when you didn't. DON'T DO THAT! It is something that a lot of people have experienced, and others worry about OFTEN.
There is no "haha it was a joke/meme!" that makes it ok to do that.

The best things I've done this year is not installing Outlook and Slack on my new phone. It was hard the first few weeks but ultimately a game changer.

I'm Ryan. I've been a game designer for going on 14 years. I've worked on numerous titles in numerous genres, ranging from NASCAR to Ghost Recon to Saints Row. I worked on the tour de force that was The Shield: The Game. Not the Marvel show, the Vic Mackey one.

This is a great thread about why using a singular game to set expectations for everyone developing titles in a genre isn't useful and is instead foolhardy.
Like a lot of people, I'm deeply excited about what the lovely folks at Larian accomplished with Baldur's Gate 3, but I want to gently, pre-emptively push back against players taking that excitement and using it to apply criticism or a "raised standard" to RPGs going forward

My favorite AC1 bug I found was if you had two controllers connected to the 360 when arriving at the last segment, it would spawn a clone of Altiar, and you couldn't actually progress. You could, however, assassinate yourself, which would trigger a checkpoint respawn.

We have some interns starting tomorrow, one of which I'll be mentoring. Something I am going to make overly clear is that their internship comes with PTO days, and that I expect them to use them. And to completely disconnect when they do. It's advice I wish I'd been given.
