The $WAL story. You should read this.
Storytelling time! Let's talk about @WalrusProtocol and how it is positioned relative to @SuiNetwork and, more broadly, the blockchain ecosystem. Once upon a time, cool kids were all developing on E World Computer. It was slow, expensive, easy to hack, hard to program for, but it was the only world computer worth using. If apps want to store stuff, they had to use tape drives F, A. They were also slow and expensive, and not really integrated with E. So most apps were limited to functionalities performed on E. After a while, smart devs came up with co-processors called L2. These plug into E and allow apps to run faster and cheaper. Other smart devs who don't like co-processors built faster and cheaper world computers. But apps were still mostly run on these diskless computers. Storage solutions were still quite broken. In 2025, the devs behind Sui - the shiny new world computer - released Walrus. All the sudden, Sui World Computer gains integrated storage solution! These are fast like SSD. World computers can now do so much more with integrated storage functionality. Boom ๐ฅ As more interesting apps use Walrus SSD, other world computers quickly added adopters to Walrus so they won't miss this critical functionality. Cambrian Explosion of interesting apps that store stuff followed ๐ฅ. But Sui is still the best. It's fast, cheap, safe, easy to use, and just better for devs. Everyone is buy Sui World Computer. And, of course, they are buying Walrus SSD as well. Who wants to miss out? Then they hear about the new cool thing called Seal that the devs behind Sui/Walrus are cooking up... And just like that, the world of trustless computing changed for the better, forever. /fin
