During the pandemic, I had a little more time on my hands and published my one-hit wonder "Everyone's First Chess Workbook" with @NewInChess and @chessable. The content and format of EFCW was inspired by years of training @CLTchesscenter students and best practices in education. EFCW has been incredibly well received in the USA. I am honored that it has recently been published in French and is recommended by the @ffechecs. I am pleased that the book has been so well received and hope it continues to serve as a introductory resource for adults and children around the world. PS - Word has it that Dutch and German versions are coming soon!

The @CLTchesscenter team brings home a collective 30 rating points and $18,000 in prizes from 2024 World Blitz Championship! @GmNaroditsky tied for 1st with a performance rating of 2749! Unfortunately, he placed 9th on tiebreaks which kept him out of the top 8 knockout. Nonetheless, his performance spoke for itself and earned him an $11,000 prize! @BortnykChess tied for 11th place only a 1/2 point behind the logjam at the top and will take home $7,000. @DinaBelenkaya outperformed her rating and will bring home over 25 rating points! @Grant_Oen and Maya Myers contributed to the event by working as arbiters on the ground! Congrats to the players and arbiters who represented Charlotte at the highest levels. While GM Naroditsky did not make the final 8 knockout due tiebreaks, the Charlotte team remains in good spirits.
