Behind the self-righteous façade of many progressives lurks a disturbing authoritarianism. Scotland’s proposed hate crime legislation is awful. #HateCrimeBill

@zsstevens @KennyFarq @Common_Weal @thecommongreen UK pensions are funded by current taxation. In a separate Scotland, Scots pensions will be paid by existing Scottish taxpayers. The idea the UK will pay for Scottish pensions after Scotland leaves the UK is delusional.

9. However, I am not the only one who thinks a new currency would bring disaster to the personal finances of Scots. This is Andrew Wilson, the SNP’s economic ‘guru’ denouncing the very currency policy he wrote (he favours an initial period of sterlingization)

@michaelgove And unlike in 2014, only UK citizens should be allowed to vote. The SNP are intending to allow EU citizens and foreign residents while stopping Scots resident elsewhere in the UK and abroad. Please stop this.

@Ross_Greer A far better investigation would be to uncover how much in foreign aid given to the Palestinians has been used by Hamas to buy weapons and prepare for war?

@tom_watson I believe Tom Watson is 5 weeks away from experiencing what is known as a 'political reckoning'.

If Nicola Sturgeon has been found to have breached the ministerial code should she resign? Henry McLeish resigned as FM after failing to declare income from sub-letting his Westminster constituency office. Sturgeon's matter seems to be much more serious. #SNPCivilWar

FM @NicolaSturgeon has referred herself to independent advisers on the Ministerial Code re her meetings with Alex Salmond. She says: “I have acted in good faith throughout, However, I understand it is also important for Parliament and the wider public to be assured of that"

The Scottish Government is about to waste a vast amount of taxpayers’ money and civil service time on producing another dishonest prospectus for breaking up the UK. @JohnFerry18 details what an honest secession prospectus should contain.

@KateForbesMSP @AndrewWilson Bold argument here. Every successful democratic nation uses fiscal transfers from wealthier to poorer areas. This is the norm in Germany, France, Canada, USA, Sweden and more. Is Katie Forbes suggesting a separate Scotland would not do this?

Here is a novel idea - instead of disingenuously portraying day-to-day govt trivialities as the next epoch-defining scandal how about the media attempt to inform the public on how the scientific committee meetings & other government functions actually work during the CV19 crisis?

Depraved SNP cheerleading of the deaths of elderly Scots is not only immoral but also misplaced. Demography is not destiny. As they age, people mature, become less radical and more supportive of the status quo. And Scotland’s elderly population is due to increase. @AngusRobertson
