Announcement 🚨🚨 Today we are unveiling the Hitter Potential Score as part of our player intelligence platform. The Hitter Potential Score is an overall measurement of a hitter's swing performance that leverages data from slow motion video and bat sensors. These data sources evaluate 50+ mechanical attributes and bat metrics and instantly process them to calculate a score on a scale of 1-100. Full press release:

🎥From 2022 Understanding why you’re making outs gives you power. In tough times you can proceed forward confidently. In a case like this a hitter can either expand their zone or trust that the calls will even out. Either way there is understanding and intentionality 🧠⚾️

Ultimately, a feel-based process that relies on tons and tons of reps to "feel right" is fragile. Having a framework of reliable, personal data that removes doubt and promotes routine is powerful.

Well-meaning advice can take players off the path to fulfilling potential. Defining "good" and communicating it is critical.

Every hitter needs to understand why they're making outs to reach their potential. Not just have a vague idea of why they're making outs...truly understand it #playerintelligence
I Wonder: What % of outs truly come from pitcher's stuff vs hitter's lack of execution. I Don't Wonder: The best hitters I've ever been around rarely give pitchers credit for getting them out.

As a software company, we talk a lot about helping users create magic moments - moments where it all clicks and the user experiences not just a functional benefit but an emotional and almost magical one. @ppriceIII has been a user of @PeloteroApp for a while...but as he watched his players interacting with the platform in real time and having their individual magic moments, I think he got his too 😍. Using #playerintelligence isn’t just about improving swings. Providing personalized insights and programming allows players to own the intent in their training. They see exactly what the path is and start paying attention to the right things.
The industry is telling kids (and parents) they can’t hit because their swing is bad. Some have obvious problems but most kids have swings that are completely fine for their competition level. They simply don’t know how to hit.
