Vasopressin ⬆️ blood pressure (by 20%) in Fontan patients but cardiac index and svc sat unchanged. Augmenting blood pressure does not necessarily improve oxygen delivery. Organs need O2 not pressure #pedsicu #pedscards #pedscicu #pediatrics #criticalcare

Nice video showing cannon waves on the CVP trace in a patient with JET that disappear with atrial pacing The atrium contracting against the closed tricuspid valve causes this, once pacing restores AV synchrony this goes away. Video @drgregkelly

Interesting data—predicting outcomes in #PedsCICU patients who require #ECMO and ultrafiltration. This is a single center study out of @StanfordChild, would be great to run it back using @pc4quality data to validate the tool on a large, 60 institution data set!
