Unpopular opinion: Cutting government ‘waste’ is really bad for most asset prices. If you’re buying stocks near all-time highs when “we” suddenly feel the need to cut back on waste, fraud and abuse is signaling weakness not strength. Free govt money no longer floating into high beta ‘narrative’ stocks is bad for your 401k. competition is bad for high paid ‘title’ worshipers. Which means less pump and more dump Watch for lower US stock prices in the future. Won’t be wrong.
