@BootleggersMG @georgejohnson @CDBaby @Spotify @spotifyartists I've seen this many times sadly... the playlists that these distributors "recommend" end up being the ones that feed the songs with artificial plays. Whether its them or 👀 watching who knows. Regardless us indie artists need to be heard and receive real help in these situations

Huge problem #spotify
Spotify not paying artist for ALL earned streams is a problem no one is talking about. They won’t even pay you for previous streams once you hit their thresh-hold. Also if you released a song as a single and as a track in an album each would need to earn 1000 streams to monetize insane.

So unfair especially for older songs in your catalog that may not get 1000 streams in a year… everything still counts!! #Spotify
As of yesterday ALL music that is currently on Spotify must be doing 1000 streams per month or you get NO ROYALTIES‼️‼️ What does this mean you say?? 🤔 This means it dont matter how old your song is even if you're still getting 20-50+ streams on those old records.

@PayForMyStreams This is the same for me since yesterday. They removed all my catalogue, 200k monthly unique listeners, +5 millions streams, an no reason given. I never used playlists or artificial streams, I don't know how to do btw. And they keep all the money of course. I'm devasted.

This less than 1000 streams thing still doesn’t seem fair! Plus a mystery number of minimum listeners to add to the uncertainty
@abstraktius @DistroKid From the outright theft of streams<1000 to the accusation and punishment without proof, Spotify clearly doesn't want small artists on their platform. There's a tangled, incestuous relationship between them, Distrokid, and the major record labels, too.
