Good for the Winnipeg Free Press. I wish more main stream media would be calling Pierre Poilievre out for this attack on vulnerable minorities.
From today’s Winnipeg Free Press. I have been saying this for months. Pierre Poilievre and CPC have been engaging in rhetoric that is hateful and causes actual harm to vulnerable minorities. As Canadians, we are better than this

From our Toronto Sun with Zelenskyy stealing from Biden. Where is this pro-Putin coverage coming from? Who is paying for it?.
@PaulGBrandon Our 'Press' is printing this . antisemitic ProTrump, ProPutin crap . so what are they worth?

@RVAwonk @krismeloche Tyranny in Canada. Ending an illegal occupation in Ottawa that lasted nearly a month. Ending the blocking of the US border that put people on both sides of the border out of work. You have a right to protest. You don’t have a right to put other people out of work.

@ElleSteinhagen Sorry to hear. Our then 35 year old son caught it early in the pandemic. Doctor said just take him in for precautionary chest x-ray and bring him home. Admitted for a week. Partially collapsed lung for five months. We were lucky. He has returned to play ice hockey.

@TheOnlyEsta Yes, but I'm in Canada;) Why did so many Democrats not vote? Were they taken off the voters lists? Were the votes rejected? It should be investigated.

@RpsAgainstTrump @JhendersonJames Totally agree. The only reason Donald Trump wanted to become president was to play the system and make money personally from it.

Congratulations to the @TorontoStar for having a Covid article on the front page of the newspaper, with the byline reading, "chance of infection 'very high' amid resurgence in virus".

@Gracectomy First of all, if you are born and raised here, it is Taranna. The word Toronto is only written and heard pronounced as it is written on the radio and television. It is, according to its residents, the centre of the universe.

@cancelDougFord @C_Mulroney @fordnation Very desperate. Nobody was even asking for this. They are asking for child care, not licence stickers. They are asking for child care, not a free licence to ice fish.

@WearYourEfnMask @Ken34205423 I wish your husband a quick and complete recovery. I still don’t understand what the provincial governments are thinking by rescinding the mask mandate. Such a simple and effective prevention.

@RodKahx I have been vaccinated for Covid-19 seven times so far. I have received a flu shot annually since at least 1985. Our son caught Covid on the day he was to get his first shot. Hospitalized one week. Partially collapsed lung for 5 months. I will stick with the science.

@veravegas013 My thoughts to you and your family. Thank you for sharing this. Too many think the pandemic is over. My son, then 35, caught it last year and was hospitalized for a week and had a partially collapsed lung for 5 months. Please stay safe.

@DavidSteadson ER is the emergency department of the hospital. Our doctor advised us to take our 35 year old son in for a chest x-ray when the positive result came back. Hospitalized for a week. Partially collapsed lung for 5 months.

@brucefanjoy Thank you for doing this. I don't think people comprehend how cold a #Poilievre government would be. He really hasn't said a lot on policy, but he has said he doesn't believe in helping people or businesses out if we had another pandemic. Everyone is on their own - bankruptcies.

@LauraMiers Thank you for this. I'm thinking this is way more widespread than anyone could believe. We are in exactly the same situation across the border in Ontario. Running out of ambulances, hospital beds, extremely long wait times and crowding out of people that need healthcare.

@talk2oleary @fordnation I just read that one of four vehicles in Ottawa has children in them. Maybe this is why Ottawa police have been hesitant to use force. Children used as human shields.

@donnalemoing @ann_viens Sorry to hear. I believe this is a result of Covid crowding out needed surgeries. We need to get Covid under control to allow people to have the surgeries they need.

@steph_the_twit @TorontoPolice @tdsb @fordnation @Sflecce You are too kind. I would never call this person a “lady.” Unbelievable, but I think we will see more of this. Just wait until school returns next week. I might not have a job for long.

@binbinbeez @carlosstelmac As you probably know, he waited until the last minute and then appealed the court order to the Supreme Court of Canada, hoping the mandate letters will remain hidden until after the election.

@elizavetaka @MapleSystemsRd @ahandvanish This is what I had in Ontario when a student in my class tested positive, but no longer available. In fact, instead of quarantining for two weeks and teaching from home, I am expected to be in the classroom.

@jovip7430 @DebHolloway Yes, it seems the governments have silenced Public Health. They are also shutting down the Science Table just as school begins, which reports the consolidated and regional waste water analysis, the last tool that we have to see whether cases are going up or down.

Too bad the facts don't support this. Just because we are doing less testing doesn't mean we avoided a severe Covid wave this winter. My Mum, sister, wife, and daughter all caught Covid for the first time this winter.
Canada has managed to avoid a severe COVID-19 wave this winter despite a total lack of public health restrictions, a busy indoor holiday season and a rapidly mutating virus that is still very much circulating in the population.

@breakfasttv Extremely. Government can't identify $4.4 billion of federal aid. Runs a $2 billion surplus during a pandemic. No to minimal changes on the government side, major concessions on CUPE's side.

Yet the federal government gave Ontario $4.4 billion that is not accounted for?.
Premier Ford is asking the federal government for funding to deal with staffing in hospitals. Despite the health minister saying there isn't an "exodus" of nurses and the Premier saying the government has thrown everything at the current crisis. #onpoli.

@JosieYola @fordnation Ask him if it is in Ontario? I wonder if he think being part of the National Capital Commission that it is out of his jurisdiction? Does he plan to release the cabinet mandate letters? Why has his worth gone up,so much since he became premier? Are the kickbacks that good?.

As I anticipated. Effectively closing the Ontario Science Centre. I was correct. His predecessor, Mike Harris, closed the Planetarium. Doug Ford will go down as the premier to close the Ontario Science Centre.
The current Science Centre is 568,000 sq ft over three buildings on 100 acres of property. Your plan is to reduce it to half the size (275,000 sq ft) which will significantly reduce exhibits & programs designed for kids. How are you “saving” it when you’re cutting it in half?.

@drmwarner @ONgov I honestly think that is what they want. They have this perception that there is no spread in schools. Yet the school I am currently working at had an outbreak declared because they couldn't rule out spread within the school after 4 people were positive.
