@sheepkingjb @CarymaRules Omg 😳 🤣 thanks for sharing. I am in Niagara and based on his assumptions, I might be a sitting duck for this clearly upstanding businessman. Good thing I own my own construction company and will never use nor recommend his services!!.

Went for a haircut today. My hairdresser saw I was wearing a mask and immediately said-hang on, i’ll put a mask on, and grabbed a KN95. It’s wild to me that my hairdresser cares more about my health, and is more respectful, than most “Health Care” workers. #HealthOverPolitics.

For my fellow clean air enthusiasts. Is it a hepa air purifier, a planter, or a table? It is all 3 my friends. It’s the innovative, multi functional, Bloom Air Purifier from @Dupraysteam designed in Canada, made in Spain. Just received it today and I am impressed so far.

Is there really anyone who doesn’t remember seeing ppl masking pre-covid? I often would see 😷 at my local outlet mall. Also when traveling-always saw a few ppl masked on ✈️, in Drs office waiting rm. I think ppl have politicized masks so much they have scrubbed their memories.
@jovip7430 Says another rabid masker, er neurotic. You saw people masking pre-COVID — where?.

@chantz_y How do people justify this with these stats? Makes no sense to me. Sorry you’re going through this. My MIL asked my hubby if my autoimmune disease was caused by me “worrying about covid so much” omg. I think I will trust my immunologist telling me to avoid illness TYVM MIL 🤦🏻♀️

@SueAnnLevy Fairly often I saw people masking pre-covid at my local mall. Never once thought to ask them about their personal medical info or to explain themselves to me. No one owes you an explanation for their choices. If you’re in such perfect health, be grateful, & don’t shame others.

@RevivalCare I could have sent my 89 year old Grandmother to help lol. She has COPD & asthma, she wears a 😷 without issue. Never complains about it & in fact is setting a masking trend at her retirement home with other residents also starting to 😷 to protect themselves from unmasked staff.

@sher94401564 If I saw you (or anyone), at the grocery store taking these kind of precautions, following science…with everyone else spreading SARS around willy-nilly, I would likely offer to pay for your groceries as a thank you, because I appreciate your caution, but also your confidence.

Wild how when a 🏥 asks ppl to 😷 & provides masks, everyone just….masks! .No “enforcement” needed. No one complaining. Less chance of infecting each other, or our much needed HCW’s. “Health Care” shouldn’t include ending up with an additional 🦠 .#MasksInHealthCareMakeSense

For everyone who commits to calling or emailing Doug Ford’s office *TODAY* to demand masks be reinstated, I will donate one mask via @DonateMask (up to 100 masks) to ensure more people can have access to masks.

@glen_mcgregor I loved your “there is some dissatisfaction” line! They should feel lucky they are even getting their trucks back. The irony of them thinking they deserve respect after their incredibly disrespectful behaviour is beyond ironic. Respect works both ways buckos.

@elizavetaka Society has a huge problem-lack of empathy for others. The selfishness and inability/unwillingness to care about others is truly alarming.

@CDCDirector Wow. A tweet from the CDC that is both disinformation AND xenophobic. Rochelle is ending the year off with a bang. A big we could have prevented rampant spread, but we didn’t, and instead we will blame China (again) bang. Smfh.

@SeeLuluRun One things for sure, these delicate flowers, who can’t handle masking, better not get a chronic illness. If masking makes their life this tragic, attempting day to day life with a chronic illness or disability (potentially caused by a virus) will really break them.

@brownecfm Sadly, they are telling us but 🤫. I suspect for CYA reasons. So that most ppl won’t know until it’s too late. It has been posted on the ON 🇨🇦 Public Health site for a very long time that covid causes immune dysregulation but the info is not being provided in an accessible way.

@TerriGerstein The extremely privileged covid announcement messaging is getting tiresome and offensive. The general public does not have the same experiences and opportunities. It is a blatant display of health inequity.

@RichardCityNews I would rather have access to covid testing during a pandemic than save the equivalent of $10 a month. Maybe if Ford has determined that our govt has enough 💰 to rationalize cancelling a billion in revenue we can now afford testing?.

@TerriGerstein And don’t forget the compulsory, “I am so grateful for vaccinations” at the end of their announcement aka telling the public to put all their faith in vaccines even though we know we need to deal with this through multiple approaches (ie 💉, 😷 ventilation, paid sick leave etc).

@FourWinns298 @DFisman People having full on tantrums bc they believe 😷, 💉 & clean air during a pandemic infringed on their freedom. Just wait until they realize what living with chronic illness in a broken healthcare system feels like, and how much debilitating illness actually impacts freedom.

@RodKahx Air Canada announces they do not believe in science. A bold claim from an airline. Where safety should be of the utmost importance, always. If their mechanics say plane is unsafe to fly, do they say, nah, that’s unscientific. Onward and upward, money to made.

@ColetteMandin It’s wild to me that the entertainment industry reportedly can’t get insurance if they don’t have pandemic protocols in place (as they should), but every where else it’s just a covid party free for all and no one cares.

@BNOFeed @BooksYarnLogic If every destination was testing there would likely be similar results all over. Even ppl I know who I would consider to be kind & caring have decided to travel while sick this year, w/o testing for covid. New variants are going to spread like wildfire after the holidays 🦠 🎉.

@joeolivermd @bethechange1682 My brain cannot comprehend the lack of compassion & care for others that is occurring. I don’t have kids but I will do everything in my power to make sure they don’t suffer, & I will advocate. I can’t understand why most parents do not have a sense of care & concern for all kids.

@LaurenPelley Yikes. How quickly we forget. Forget those that have suffered debilitating consequences after a “mild”covid infection. Forget those that will continue to become debilitated, largely because of misinformation and minimizing. Vulnerable people matter too.

@RichardCityNews Sylvia Jones is unfit for her position on a good day, never mind during a healthcare crisis. Here’s a novel idea…how about instead of every politician pointing fingers, someone actually does something to help their communities?! It’s a wild idea, I know.

@MeetJess @ofer_n The absolute irony that anyone would say protections to prevent people from becoming disabled /unable to work, is an infringement on the disabilities act. Newsflash to these elite, millionaire actors: most actors aren’t millionaires & will not have support if unable to work.

Update: the family member I was speaking with is now sick. Moral of the story: Don’t wait. Mask up now.
@tbas7000 @HKDetwiler Yes! I was just speaking to a family member who is very worried about getting covid again, as levels are extremely high in their community. They said they want to start masking again…but are waiting until more people start so they won’t stand out. Paging Public Health 🆘.

@sassyashieOG The rich and famous don’t catch covid at grocery stores, public transit & work, like the rest of us peasants, so they spend thousands and thousands of dollars on a trip (& then complain about said trip) to catch it. Weird. Also, incredibly rude of her to be sick & go on a ✈️.

@danaparish Why would anyone in a medical facility even want this? Regardless of covid, keeping vulnerable ppl safer and preventing unnecessary illness exposures for HCW’s seems like a good idea. Someone could be walking into an ER with any 🦠 and infect a cancer patient. 😷 make sense.

@beantowndancer @amy_is_tired I saw an Internist that had a large sign in her office stating: “don’t confuse your Google search with my medical degree.” Ppl wait months to see Drs who spend 5 mins with them & (in my experience) are condescending & make significant mistakes. We need to be informed & advocate.

@JudithCollinsMP @FlyAirNZ Having a stranger’s hot, covid filled breath on me from 2”away for 6 hours is not the “personalized” experience I would want. It’s so interesting to me how obsessed ppl are with breathing in other people’s exhaled air.

@AdithyaR_YXE Thanks, this is what we are going to do I think. I dislike the idea of someone working while + for a myriad of reasons. One being the fact that ppl need to rest while sick & this work is physically demanding, there is no real light duty work in 🦺 I worry about safety too w/🧠😶🌫️.

@Jennife95911481 @elizavetaka That is really evil thinking isn’t it? I still need someone to explain to me like I’m 5 how *more* ppl dying in 2022 from covid than previous yrs, + the fact that we are *well aware* that covid can cause long term damage/disability, ⬆️ risk of 🫀 attack, Autoimmune disease etc…. = yay pandemic over! 😵💫 🤔.

@birgitomo And it makes me think-if an experienced Nurse, who worked at this very hospital for many yrs, & who had her family with her for support was treated this way, how are other people-who do not have the health expertise/education & a support system present, treated?! Very worrisome.
