@TheTexanNews @StaceinTexas @mayes_middleton Very few folks are aware, but under Texas law if you’re over 65 you can file to avoid paying those taxes until you leave the home permanently.

@lmcgaughy When I was at the GLO there was a time when if somebody asked for something we just gave it to them. Then I was informed we can’t do that, you must follow the procedure outlined in the statute. What might take a week to do ended up in some cases taking months.

Trump launched FAA diversity program to hire people with disabilities Trump slams the FAA DEI effort that in 2019 his administration supported. Oops! #txlege

@BillPeacock3 Whatever makes you feel credible. With that comment you gutted all credibility. You have no credible data nor credible citation for that claim except citing data you’ve concocted or citations of stuff you wrote. Not exactly peer reviewed.

@KatMcKinley I oppose this and every other name change including Gulf of America. Including changing military base names from Confederate generals. Including changing sports teams names from Natibe American names to commanders. It’s all BS. And, if Alaska likes Denali, it should be Denali.

@BillPeacock3 Bill, This is the most telling and unsupported by facts comment you’ve ever made. Makes me consider just bowing out of even engaging with you.

@BillPeacock3 Do this: web search “least expensive electricity generation source”. Start at the top and read several sources, not just one. You’ll find least expensive is solar (with or without incentives), most expensive is nuke and offshore wind. These are facts Bill.

@BillPeacock3 Let’s apply your simplistic pay “twice” analogy to thermal energy. Unlike wind/solar, we have to pay for the natural gas to generate electricity and then we have to pay for that electricity. That’s REALLY paying twice.

@KonniBurton Hmmm… Punishing public officials, elected or otherwise for lying? That would be the new term limits because most would be in jail. Seriously. Lying under oath is criminal. Good old fashioned making stuff up isn’t.

@JosephLTrahan @GregAbbott_TX I may not be a fan of Abbott but you are an idiot. Nonetheless you do have a following among the gullibles and BTW you had/have zero chance of being elected to the Texas Senate.

@BillPeacock3 In 1858, 3 years before the war, R. E. Lee wrote that “ slavery is a moral and political and evil in any country”. My point? The reasons for the Civil War don’t fit in the simple tidy box we try to put them in.

@BillPeacock3 In his inaugural address, Lincoln endorsed the Corwin amendment which would’ve forever protected slavery where it currently existed. He wanted to deport slaves to Central America.

@BillPeacock3 Proximate works. Like all white men of that time, Lincoln was a white supremacist. He stated if he could save the Union w/o freeing any slaves he would do it. He said Negroes were inferior and should remain so. He said Mexicans were a “mongrel race”.
