This is a photo from 1974 when first extensive collection of Terracotta warriors was first discovered in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China.
Unfortunately, when they were exposed to air and sunlight during excavation, colors began to curl up almost immediately and disappeared within minutes.

Temple built by a monk named Liao Ran during late Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534), restored in 1900. It was constructed by drilling holes into cliffside into which poles that hold up temples are set.

It was discovered in a cemetery in the Agricultural Basin in western China in 2014. The pants are thought to be designed for horse riding, built between the 13th and 10th centuries BC.
