I invest $100K - $500K into creating, launching, and scaling high-converting marketing & ad campaigns for the biggest creators and influencers in the world.
Here are 33 principles that made my first $1,000,000 as a freelancer:
1. The golden rule is understanding you’re in the people business and relationships are your most valuable asset. People are the ones paying you, giving referrals, and accelerating or hindering your income.
Here’s how ANY marketer can generate $50K - 100K /month in the next 90 days (worth the read)...
Step-by-step, broken down, just for you 😀
I recently built a funnel for a client that’s doing $400K /month in revenue.
They sell a weight loss program specifically for first
While other freelancers struggle for pennies, I charge $20,000 - $30,000 per month.
And I’m blessed to have more clients than I can deal with.
Here are 3 steps to 10X’ing your income:
1️⃣ First, you’ll need an offer that’s actually worth $20K - $30K.
You can either focus on
After building 150-200 sales funnels for the biggest influencers, celebrities, and direct-response businesses in the game…
Here are 27 ways you can INCREASE CONVERSIONS and PROFITS for your (or your clients) sales funnels:
1. Test new headlines. [How you can achieve DESIRED
Here’s the ULTIMATE VSL funnel format to unlock UNLIMITED clients starting today…
I’m using this format to generate TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars for my clients on cold traffic right now (for some names you DEFINITELY know and others that are killing it in the background)...
And
Here’s exactly how I made $652,750 by writing ONE email (in 20 minutes) per week….
This is an untapped GOLDMINE and the EASIEST money you can make...
So, while other copywriters focus on writing emails for direct-response companies…
I’ve been getting paid $5K - $10K /week
Here’s how I did $30,000 in sales today (with a funnel you don’t see often anymore)…
And you’re about to see how this is just the low-hanging fruit.
So, I’ve built 200-300 funnels for some of the biggest influencers, celebrities, and direct-response businesses in the game…
If you’re struggling to make $10K - $20K /month, you’re part of the majority.
But that can quickly be fixed by mastering marketing / building high-converting sales funnels.
I don’t know any other skill that would allow me to generate $40K - $80K /month other than marketing.
Here’s EVERYTHING you need to (actually) close $25,000 deals like a PRO…
Once you’re done reading this, you’ll be able to close the biggest clients in the world.
I’ve used this framework to close the biggest celebrities, influencers, and 8/9-figure business owners (with over
Here’s how I started charging $20,000 - $30,000 /month and became one of the highest-paid freelancers in the world…
And yes, you can use this to explode your income and save years of time.
So, about 3 years ago, I reached out to a big name in my industry that runs an ad
Being the best in the world at what you do is only half the battle.
I have multiple clients paying me $20,000 /month for marketing…
And that’s not including all the one-time deals for $24K /pop that are constantly rolling in plus rev share etc…
And I’d say my main superpower
You can pump out $20K - $100K /month as a freelancer just by increasing your prices.
And I’ve found it’s actually EASIER than the alternative.
Because here’s the big problem…
If you’re not charging a MINIMUM of $10,000 for your service…
- You’re blocking the best clients
2. Your problem isn’t an inability to acquire clients; it’s an inability to create your opportunities. There is no set path - you must provide value, build relationships, and have an experimental mindset to create opportunities.
4. Become more valuable than other freelancers and charge more by possessing multiple skills. You should be a full-stack marketer with the ability to write copy, build funnels, set up email automations, and integrate everything together - or be good at delegating.
6. “Anything you need”. The first time
@IAmAlenSultanic
DM'd me that, I was like damn, what a powerful line. You only have one customer and that is human nature - when you truly understand this, you’ll be able to go very far.
5. Having one retainer client that covers all your expenses is ideal for giving you financial stability. Million-dollar tip: contact home-service businesses (garage doors, roofing, HVAC, etc) and offer to run their email lists. I’ve had one client pay me $5K-10K /week for
Positioning is everything in business.
I started attracting the biggest clients in the world when I started positioning myself as the best in the world.
But there’s an energy behind positioning that can’t be faked.
You can label yourself however you’d like, but if there’s no
7. The quality of your portfolio reflects the quality of your income, your clients, and where you are in the hierarchy of freelancers. A great portfolio makes selling superfluous.
14. Never under any circumstance miss a deadline. When you’re my client, you’re always getting exceptional work delivered on time, every time. Business owners struggle with reliability of most freelancers and this will set you apart and incentivize them to continue hiring you.
15. Never sacrifice the quality of your work. You should view yourself as an artist delivering love to your clients. Be the gold standard at what you do.
Big tip to write better copy, faster:
If you get stuck while writing copy, you’re putting your focus on the words.
Instead, write as if you’re talking directly to the person / your avatar.
Your copy will flow out effortlessly & be much more natural.
Homage
@IAmAlenSultanic
11. If you don’t close a deal on the first sales call, send a detailed proposal of your offer with specificity. This increases closing rates. Everyone buys differently and some people take longer than others before making a decision - your proposal helps them make the right one.
16. Be communicative and impeccable with your word. Never say you’re going to get something done ‘by tonight’ if you’re not. Every time you don’t deliver on your word, your reputation takes a hit.
Most people say they want something but are only 20-30% locked in.
There are very few who are actually paying the price that needs to be paid to get the results they want.
If you train your assiduity muscle, it’s never been easier to stomp and outcompete other people.
All
8. Even with a great portfolio, you can’t close an unqualified lead. However, you attract qualified leads by having a great portfolio (and great connections).
A lot of times, lack of sacrifice comes down to lack of certainty.
If it was 100% inevitable you would reach your desired outcome in 90 days from today…
How much more would you be willing to sacrifice?
Certainty eliminates resistance.
10. Build a “billion-dollar network” and form strategic partnerships to increase your income and provide more value to your clients. When you work with me, I can get you connected to the best of the best in any relevant field.
18. You must present your work to clients on a Zoom call rather than just emailing it to them (this is a huge mistake most freelancers make). This allows you to make any tweaks, deepen your relationship, and get more business from your clients.
Discipline breeds discipline.
Every little decision you make that you know you should be doing strengthens your discipline neural pathway.
Eventually actions become much more effortless.
@lahnardy3
Yeah definitely -
You can also get really low CPCs by retargeting their audience
Easiest low hanging fruit is retargeting their YouTube viewers/subscribers
Easy hack to cut the time it takes to write copy/VSLs by 30-50%:
Map out and OUTLINE the main points in your lead, story, mechanism and close before actually writing the copy.
Then write everything in one shot.
Let it all flow out then make edits after.
@kris_xan
There’s really not much to it honestly.
The list I manage is 500K+ leads and I just stick to the basics.
I think a lot of people exaggerate the complexity of managing a list lol
13. You cannot rely on logic alone to close deals. You should always stimulate the visual side of your prospect’s brain by screen sharing on calls and showing your portfolio, mapping out their funnel, doing the math, and so on.
32. Save time by creating a process and templates for everything from closing clients, onboarding clients, doing your work, delivering your work, and everything in between. You’ll naturally build these templates as you take on more clients.
30. “That’s a separate deal.” Another trick I learned from Alen. If you deliver work, and clients demand more work that wasn't agreed upon, tell me that it’s a separate deal - or give them one freebie, but that’s it.
23. Be cocky. I’m the best freelance marketer in the industry by a long shot. Is that actually true? Damn right it is. Your clients will only have as much certainty of you as you do of yourself - and then you better deliver.
The hard work and grit of squeezing everyday and striving to live your potential is far better than the alternative.
At least that’s how the current season feels.
The farther you assume you are from achieving your income goal, the longer it’ll take you to hit it.
Change your assumption and you can cut time in half.
Everything begins in your own mind.
20. Follow up with your clients to see how your work performed. Most freelancers don’t have access to data and are missing out on knowing if they’ve generated results they can leverage. Plus, it’s a touchpoint to see how your client is doing and see if they need additional work.
9. If you don’t have a portfolio, work for free or for cheap and start building it. Every project adds to your portfolio and increases your value. In the beginning, you'll have to tolerate bad clients. It’s part of the game. As you climb up the hierarchy, clients will improve.
33. Get paid $500 - $1,000 per hour for your time by offering your clients ongoing “CMO consulting” after delivering their funnel. Let them know they can use this time to have you answer questions, write copy, create new split tests, or optimize their funnel.
You are only subject to what you hold in mind. Negative thoughts or beliefs can only affect you if you consciously or unconsciously say they apply to you.
27. Be extremely available (but also have boundaries). I tell every client to call me, text me, or reach out to me at any time - for absolutely anything - and I mean it. I used to think being available “lowers your status” but at a higher level, it’s all about the relationships.
22. Always be educating your clients on how they can improve their marketing in order for them to view you as their trusted advisor - whether it’s on a sales call, delivering your project, or just chatting with them.
As a freelancer, your income cap is around $400K - $500K /year.
If you want to scale past that…
You need to master acquiring/converting traffic and buying back your time (delegation)
21. If you REALLY wanted to be a 6 or 7-figure freelancer, you would be. It’s not what you do but who you are. Being poor or rich is a state of mind and you live in a time when ignorance is a choice; you can learn any skill with ease.
Instead of using social media to continuously promote your products, use it to build relationships.
It will yield much greater returns in the long run.
25. The greatest investment you can make is in yourself. You are the business. You'll only go as far as the value you can provide, and that comes down to how much you've invested in yourself (whether that's money or time.)
The art of business is in relationships.
When you’re great with people (by being genuine and actually caring) and have a deep understanding of human nature, you’ll always have a flow of clients.
Be undeniably valuable to your network.
19. Start to learn about artificial intelligence. There are tools like OpenAI, Jasper, and ChatGPT that can save you time by doing research, writing copy, and giving you countless ideas. The future is here now.
How to go from competing to dominating:
Master client acquisition.
Master buying back your time.
Master serving your customers better than anyone else.
24. Be bold and stretch yourself. Increase your value and then charge more. And then do it again. And again. And again. Your results in business and in life will match what you believe is normal.
