Last night Connie and I got a call that our youngest son Nate died in his apartment from a probable drug overdose.Nate has been in the far country for a couple years now and we have prayed for him everyday. The Lord is kind. We trust Providence.

He couldn’t be more wrong. We did it because we were putting Scripture over pragmatism. It’s called faithfulness.

Regardless of what Saddleback does or doesn’t do, this is not a good step from the Credentials Committee. And I say that with respect. In my opinion this is a really bad precedent.
Hearing the Credentials Committee will recommend not removing Saddleback for having women pastors, in direct conflict with the BFM2000, which says "the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture."
If true, expect this practice to be normalized in the SBC.
