Hosted by @uni_copenhagen Why think about equitable cities, landscapes and communities? The economic, social, cultural, technological and ecological differences that characterize cities are exacerbated or mitigated by how we imagine, build and live in them. Such differences can easily lead to inequalities and injustices that are invisible to those not affected and slippery to grasp. Air pollution is one of that invisible justices, especially in the Global South.

3. Closure of Polluting Industries Shut down industries that don’t meet existing industrial emissions standards to lower urban emissions by a further 15%. Many such industries operate in the undocumented sector on the outskirts of @LahoreSmog.

@dawarhbutt has been emphasising that city-wide shutdowns need to be imposed in @LahoreSmog, Gujranwala & Multan for upto 3-days. The cycle of emissions and pollutant buildup needs to be stopped to bring immediate relief.
