@CareerRiskCap @Ross__Hendricks @profplum99 Current profit margins are suppressed. tech layoffs drive higher margins. also, investments in R&D and S&M are pretty discretionary. Can be cut if needed.

@ginkgo_cap Bulgarian split squats. I haven’t actually done reverse lunges before. In my mind, I figured they were basically the same exercise. But I’ll have to try reverse lunges later this week

I spend a lot of time thinking about this. I own most of the names listed below. Using Roper $ROP as an example. Compounding FCF at ~10%/year for three decades implies that they can deploy $400B in FCF on acquisitions at a cash-on-cash return around 5%. Eventually the TAM will become a bottleneck. But it is challenging to handicap the upside because there are few bottlenecks in the short/medium-term.
The interesting part about owning "quality" stocks is that virtually all the bear cases amount to "well they can't do that forever" (TAM will run out/regulators will shut it down/competitors will enter) $CSU, $ROP, $TDG, $HEI, $V, $MA, $LVMUY, $AME, $IEX, etc

@evantindell Not sure about iPhones, but my Apple Watch broke after maybe 200 sauna sessions. Kinda surprised it even made it that long.

This is probably too granular & misses the big picture, but you decompose revenue and capex by AWS's data center square footage (leased + owned) Revenue per average sq ft was essentially flat at $2.47K in 2024 vs. $2.53K in 2023 CapEx per net new sq ft was also flat around $5.0K vs. $5.3K last year Asset utilization is actually better than what I had expected, all things considered That said, I have no idea what the incremental ROIC is going forward

@AdviserCounsel Dumb question - what do you mean by limit restrictive covenants in employment agreements?
