Caston senior Mitchell Rans was recognized at the State House for being a page for Senator Randy Head and for him honoring the Logansport and Lewis Cass students who were involved in the tragic car crash by wearing Berries and Kings gear at his final high school XC meet.
Cass football coach Jeff Phillips being carried off the court after being recognized for winning Hoosier Conference and sectional titles this year. It was announced he is retiring from coaching.

Football: Logansport is ranked No. 10 in Class 4A in this week's AP and coaches polls. It's the first time the Berries are ranked in the top 10 in football since the 2007 season.
The Berries’ No. 1 fan Elmer Wood passed away yesterday at the age of 97. He was a supporter of Logansport and Cass County athletes for decades. RIP to a great man.

Baseball: Cass tops Class 3A No. 4 Benton Central 5-4 in Hoosier Conference title game. Kings (17-4) win their first Hoosier Conference championship in any sport and 11th conference title overall in baseball. They joined HC in 2015-16.
Logansport has hired Drew Schauss as boys basketball coach. Schauss, 28, is a former player and assistant coach at Bethel College. Has also coached at Holy Cross College and John Brown University.
Girls track: Lewis Cass wins Western Sectional title. It's the Lady Kings' second team sectional title in track and first since 1992. Cass 102, Western 99.5 and Kokomo placed 3rd. Averi Parker threw 44 feet to win final event of night in shot put.
Adaway’s first season on the court for the Bonnies couldn’t have gone much better, as the Bonnies had one of their best seasons in program history.
