The saddest news. We have lost a wonderful woman.
It is with the sadness of a broken heart that I have to announce Helen passed away peacefully on Friday. Thank you all for such kind words.

Please keep @CyclingInASkirt amd her family in your thoughts and prayers in the final days of her life. She's had such a battle with gruelling treatment, it's awful to hear it hasn't worked.
Hi cycling twitter. I'm Michael, Helen's husband. As some of you may know Helen's last scan showed that the cancer has grown and is impacting kidney function. This means we have reached the end of the road for treatment and are focusing on keeping Helen comfortable.

@sccstreetsahead @SheffKidMass There was a layer of humus under some it, suggesting it hasn't been swept for possibly years. This isn't adequate for a major arterial cycle & pedestrian route into the city centre. Lots of people thanked me as they walked & cycled past.
