As a hill climb enthusiast, Laszlo Keskeny from Hungary knew he had to sign up for the ultimate challenge of Pikes Peak. And what better way to do so than with an 1986 Audi 4000 Quattro? Ben Ryan applied for his first PPIHC in 2023 with a plan to race a BMW E30. After being on the waitlist for a couple of months, he sold the car for an offer he couldn’t refuse. Then 2 weeks later, Ryan had to figure out a new ride for Pikes Peak as he got the invitation letter. With 46 days to spare, he took his friend’s Mini Cooper and transformed it into a race car that crossed the finish line come race day.
