Yeah, Shannon was pissed after Hamlin. I thought Bayless made a mistake going on the next day. But they got back to baseline very quickly. BTW Shannon is leaving Fox altogether.

They got the No. 1 two years ago when they didn’t have the highest odds. They got a 5 last year. Steph Curry went 7 overall. The Joker went FORTY FIRST! What do you want? Stop whining and find the Hall of Famer sitting there when it’s your turn. He’ll be there.
@NFL_DovKleiman
@dyland1967
That’s fine. You want to break in Bryce easy. Dalton at this point is a career backup and he’s good in that role so may as well let him be at the big boy table.
@SundayQBs
Oh GOD no. Not a chance. In front of him: Brady. Montana. Unitas. Staubach. Peyton. Bradshaw. Otto Graham. Bart Starr. Aikman. Dan Fouts. Want me to go on? Because I will.
@darrenrovell
99 seconds to be exact. I’ve said this before: Vin Scully was the greatest broadcaster of all time. Not sportscaster: broadcaster. Better than Edward R. Murrow, better than John Cameron Swayze, you name it.
@Jimfrombaseball
Scully was the best. Listen to his call of the bottom of the 9th of Sandy Koufax’s perfect game. It reads like a piece of erudite baseball literature and he came up with it completely in real time.

Iverson is alright. He routinely holds basketball camps for underprivileged kids and doesn’t want anyone to know about it. A TV crew showed up once and he was furious.
That’s a good guy.
@wiseconnector
This is easy: $20MM for cash. 50000 shares of Tesla right now are roughly $11.4MM and the NPV of $10K a week over 38 years (how long it would take to accumulate $20MM) is less than TSLA stock, let alone $20MM up front. Very easy choice.

I only found out recently that someone I went to junior high school with was the product of a sexual assault. She was adopted by a couple that could not conceive naturally.
Today, she is a Doctor. And a Wife. And a Mom.

You’re right. And he had some good years. But at this stage in the game he’s your ideal backup: the savvy vet that can be Bryce Young’s Silvio Dante and can start a month or so if needed.

He has busted his ass trying to get this under control. The fact we’re seeing a vaccine THIS soon and the volume they’re talking about is nothing short of remarkable.

Serves him right. He can however redeem himself by giving them away to needy families and writing I AM VERY sorry for trying to corner the market on hand sanitizer one hundred ZILLION times.

Bill Belichick has entered the chat. So have Bill Walsh, Paul Brown and Chuck Noll. Don Shula does not know the double secret password.

Sports history is filled with- FILLED, I said - with guys that had phenomenal rookie years and fell off. RG3. Vince Young. Mark Fidrych. Joe Charbonneau.
I listened to Gavin Macleod on
@realgilbert
’s podcast. He was sharp and engaging and got truly choked up when talking about Ted Knight. It was enjoyable.

1. Cars that were less than 3 years old where regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations) were done
2. Vacations that lasted more than three days.
3. Vacations taken on an airplane to places like Disney World or California.

: Here’s how you win Joe Buck’s departure:
NFL: Gus Johnson becomes your A game announcer. Get Steve Tasker from CBS, they were magic.
MLB: Two words: Don Orsillo. Pair him with Smoltz
Done and done. You’re welcome.
@drewbrees
No need to apologize sir. What you said was fine. Perhaps there was a better way to phrase it; there always is. But you’re good. And you’ve been good.

Mass General has a building on the grounds of Gillette. The main hospital isn’t far. One of the best hospitals in the world. He is in good hands.
25 years ago today I got married. There was no baseball that day, because the start of the season was delayed.
And here we are 25 years later...and there is no baseball because the start of the season has been delayed.
Didn’t see that coming. No.

Sounds a lot like Joe Jackson, Murray Wilson and countless other stage parents who considered their talented children a cash cow and destroyed them in the process.
@sanguinesu
Yeah. You always get a little "uh oh" when you see something like that. Sometimes your worst fears are realized. But just as often, it's all good.

Wire to wire the album is strong. I like Come Together and Paul McCartney’s walk off line: “And in the end/The love you take/Is equal to the love, you make”
@HeartEyes4Brady
@Patriots
That is still unreal. You realise that about 100 things had to go the Patriots way for them to win that game. One doesn’t and Atlanta wins. It’s staggering. Truly the most epic comeback in the history of sports.
@Parlay_J0E
Who ya gonna call?!?
Underrated: The Razor’s Edge. He said he wouldn’t do Ghostbusters unless he could do that. He was very good in the role.
There’s a Barry Manilow concert on as I write this. He looks and sounds as good as he ever has. Very powerful. So many of these acts, they embarass themselves. But not here. Not here.

I do not like what the masks represent. It seems they’re more about control and misinformation than anything else. The masks do not protect you from getting the disease; the CDC said as much. But people now believe otherwise.
Sad.
