My Dad’s biopsy came back as cancer. He had a pet scan today to check for more cancer. We have a follow up appointment next week. Prayers appreciated thank you friends.

Right now as I type, the Lutheran Church of Australia is having their General Pastors Conference. Women’s ordination is on the table once again. Apparently the solution being proposed is “two teachings one synod” which makes zero sense. Pray for our LCA brothers and sisters.

Today is my 26th wedding anniversary. We met online back in December 1996. He was in Perth Australia and I was in Portland Oregon. We met in person 8 months later and married 6 months after meeting in person. My first question when we met was do you believe in Jesus? He said yes.

Beautiful moment in Vietnam. I was on the street filming the crazy traffic at an intersection whilst hubby was at the dentist. An older man walks up to me and points to my crucifix necklace. He then shows me the back of his phone and he has a picture of Jesus. We both smile.

Whenever we move we always look for a faithful Confessional Lutheran Church as our first priority. This is really wise advice from our Synod.
In your college phase of life you are called by God to make sure that you can keep attending a faithful Lutheran church. Can't find one near your chosen school? Then maybe that it isn't the right school for you!

So the biopsy procedure went well. He and my stepmom and sister are staying overnight near the hospital in case of complications. It will take a week or so to get the results. Thank you all for your prayers.

Life update. It looks like my Dad will be receiving radiation treatment for the cancer in his lungs. It’s Stage One so that’s really good. He will be 87 this year. I tripped over a box and had a nasty fall last night. Nothing broken but lots of pain. Prayers appreciated.

Spent the weekend with one of my best friends. Went to church at a nearby LCMS church. The worship service was bits and pieces of liturgy. Contemporary music. We did notice the love and care between the Pastor and his congregation. Praying the love of hymns & liturgy will come.

One of my best Lutheran moments ever. I was at a Lutheran conferencing South Australia. During the keynote address a cell phone started to ring. The ringtone was Bad to the Bone. The phone belonged to a Pastor. I laughed and thought yep that’s theologically sound.
