It is finished. Jesus paid it once for all. His promises are kept. "For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified." Hebrews 10:14 #JustAsHeSaid #GoodFriday

#AshWednesday is one of the few church festivals that focuses on a teaching instead of an event. Ash Wednesday begins the season of #Lent, a season of repentance. We remember that we are sinners as we meditate on Christ's death and resurrection in the coming weeks.

He is Risen! He is Risen, indeed! Alleluia!. We rejoice that Christ has defeated death and sin. The season of repentance culminates in Christ’s ultimate victory for us. We trust in him and have a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. #LivingHope

As we celebrate #ReformationDay, we remember that the righteousness of God is “that righteousness by which Christ lives in us, not the righteous that is in our person.” As Luther discovered this, the Gospel set him free! #ReformationScriptures

All day for #ReformationDay, we'll be sharing significant Bible passages and related quotes from Martin Luther. We give thanks to God for passing down to us His pure Word rightly taught through the reforms and writings of Luther and his fellow-laborers.

This #ReformationDay, we confess (as we do every day!) that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ — not by what we do, but by what He has done.

What's the point of #ReformationDay? To remember that we look to Christ alone for our salvation, for He alone can justify us before the Father.

Scripture constantly speaks of God’s grace as the reason for our salvation in opposition to our works. By showing Himself gracious to us through the Gospel God creates faith in our hearts that clings solely to His grace in Christ. #ReformationScriptures #ReformationDay

We confess what Scripture teaches, that “. men cannot be justified before God by their own strength, merits, or works but are freely justified for Christ’s sake through faith. ” (Augsburg Confession, Article IV) #ReformationScriptures #ReformationDay

19 years ago today. Through tragedies, disasters, and sorrows we are taught this truth: that we cannot lengthen the span of our days by worry, nor find a safety or peace that endures through our own efforts. These only come through Christ. #September11 #WeRemember #Neverforget

Christians stick to the Bible with its clear message of Christ crucified because it makes the wisdom of the world nothing. "For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Cor. 1:18.#Lent
