Happy B'day Adrian Stoop. Incredible legacy at Harlequins while the sun shone on you. With England 1905-12 you became frustrated with their style of play - so you developed the high tempo expressive style that remains our TRUE. Thank you, never forgotten & forever grateful.

It's been a brilliant experience working with Harlequins this season. I'm hoping teams in other spheres take inspiration from how Quins have everyone aligned to a clear 'Us' story; flattened their hierarchy to empower all; and pushed each other to express their unique talents.

Our most energising hormones are cortisol & adrenalin. They focus attention. So the laziest way to lead is through fear. But that leads to chronic stress & emptiness. A healthier source is dopamine & oxytocin through belonging, storytelling & fairness. Endlessly renewable energy.

Ian Foster, the NZ All Blacks coach, has personified dignity these past few weeks. I can't recall a coach being put under so much pressure, including by his own employers. I hope he stays in his role & I wish we were better at creating the conditions for our people to thrive.
