Great to see that our leaky barriers were still slowing the flow in ditches in Bedelands Nature Reserve today! πŸ˜€ Reducing peak flow, trapping sediment, improving water quality πŸ‘Œ

Very happy that the elm trees we planted 4 years ago in partnership with @sdnpa at our EPIC project site are thriving! 🌳🌳🌳 Highly resistant to Dutch Elm Disease, hosts of the rare White-letter Hairstreak, and now about 12 feet tall! πŸ¦‹ #NationalTreeWeek

Fantastic effort from our volunteers getting 5 berms built on the Teville stream. These brilliant brushwood bundle & chestnut stake structures help enhance rivers: βœ”οΈ trapping silt βœ”οΈ creating marginal habitat βœ”οΈincreasing flow diversity & oxygen levels βœ”οΈ creating fish habitat
