Fantastic effort from our volunteers getting 5 berms built on the Teville stream. These brilliant brushwood bundle & chestnut stake structures help enhance rivers: ✔️ trapping silt ✔️ creating marginal habitat ✔️increasing flow diversity & oxygen levels ✔️ creating fish habitat

Despite today's drizzle, the amazing folks from @ancientandbrave put in a stellar shift doing wetland management at @EPIC_Sompting! Cleared a low flow channel & opened sections through 50 metres of vegetation! Great to see frogs, ramshorn snails & purple loosestrife 🐸 🐌 🌸

A thoroughly productive day on the Lewes Winterbourne, removing invasive & non-native species, and doing a stream litter pick! 🙌💦🐟 Filled 7 ton sacks with cherry laurel, crocosmia, leylandii & box leaf honeysuckle! Replaced with native alder & hazel👌🌳
