The journal Nature touts "two-eyed seeing" (combining modern science with indigenous knowledge) as a way to improve neuroscience. The big problem is that they give no credible examples of how this has happened. ..

@cmonjussthetip @primalpoly Sad that broader impacts started just with the intention of helping the public - I had proposed making museum exhibits, doing guided field trips to the public etc. But over time it became contaminated with DEI and program directors came to expect it.

@DianneCallaha16 @tedcruz The help certainly was not to Hamas. It was humanitarian aid to Gaza which was inevitably stolen by Hamas. This is the problem with aid to corrupt places - most of it do not end where you want it to. This was very true in the 3rd world country where I came from.
