@saintamourmi @_KBaYBaY_ @OnlyBangersEth Its not the door itself the problem, it's how the striker plates are mounted. If they're mounted with in-the-box hardware its very likely it's not secured to the house's frame but instead is fixed to the door frame (the vertical jambs) with 1/2in or shorter screws.

He said he would just slide the window to fully closed then slide to open really hard and it would pop wooden dowel rods out of they weren't exactly the right length

@famishedst @_KBaYBaY_ @OnlyBangersEth 3 1/2 inch decking or framing screws. Decking is what I prefer because they are stronger than framing and wood screws, plus they are usually coated to prevent corrosion. The screws on my garage door striker plates were completely rusted.
