Bethlehem Steel is back. The next golden age of American manufacturing has truly begun!!
A shout out and congratulations to my eldest son Micheál Ganley on making the big bold step to leave his role as Nominations Counsel (in house Lawyer) for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee (Republicans) and, together with his brother James, founding (they say ‘re-founding’) ‘Bethlehem Steel’. The resurrection of the historic name of Bethlehem Steel, is their plan to bring a new and highly innovative approach to mass steel making and once more make America a giant of steel production. If they pull this off, it will be quite the move in industrial revitalization of America. Pic below is Micheál on his final day in the Senate (last December) with his now former boss Senator Lindsey Graham. Prior to being Nominations Counsel, Micheál clerked for a year at the U.S. 9th Circuit of Appeals. As his dad, I’m proud of his service. Now onto the wild world of entrepreneurship. And yes, they secured the name Bethlehem Steel. That’s a crazy story in itself. They want to make it the Tesla of steel. God bless their work.

@loobah_l I took 24 hours to see a mate. Then drove down the next day. The roads do twist and turn like British country roads at some points and do get slow so allowing time for a pause for a passenger who gets sick would be wise if you have the time.

@sampritibh And ships still bring in so much of what we consume. I’m a marketer but I spent earlier bits of my life around trains & heavy industry. I don’t have to risk death or injury at work, I’m very lucky. But sometimes a pic like that gives me a slight pang of longing.
