@Pott_Shrigley_ I've been told several times the owner has the cafe mothballed ready to open when conditions are right. I'd expect it to open when the park does.

Further progress today 👷♂️👷♀️
The work has started to expose the walls of the River Sheaf culvert at the Castle site. The cross beams (left) are holding the sides up. With the soil removed the process can begin to take out the beams and sides exposing the river in hopefully as natural a state as possible

@joshbunting Yes, definitely. It's a bit sad, once goods in and out from the canal. Large windows flooding the workplace with natural light. Now all bricked up.
