@nobodyknows2322 I've really started to wonder how much this is path dependence arise from Obama starting out as the anti-Hillary option in 2008 he was skillful in closing with those voters but it seems like being anti-H is what got his foot in the door

@jayparsons Some of these critiques of "the current YIMBY movement" need to take into account the political context YIMBY activists mostly operate in--i.e., very lefty urban jurisdictions there are constant attacks on YIMBYs from their left flank that they are trying to blunt
