Zach Sieler will never get the credit he deserves. One of the biggest stops of the day and he comes over top from the backside to stonewall Jackson on a certain 1st down.

OT - Christian Jones, Texas Really underrated/high IQ block here. Outside zone left bends back. Jones has the LB ( #10 ). But when he blitzes on the backside outside of the DE - Jones just sits down and walls off both the DE and LB opening the cutback lane. @5ReasonsSports

RT #76 - Ryan Hayes None of the OL (Paul included) graded out amazing vs Falcons. Ryan Hayes had a couple really bad reps that are easy to put a bullseye on. However, if you watch his entire body of work - he probably had a more positive game than you may think.

Don't think many are 'shocked' by this. BUT - this is a vote of confidence for Weaver IMO. Campbell played for Weaver's unit in Baltimore and has no reason to suffer in this heat for a few more $ for retirement. He's here because he believes this team is ready to win big.

He's in a perfect place to develop behind TStead under the coaching of Barry, Smith, and McDaniel. The goal is that the 2nd round pick develops, and in 2025 is high 1st round caliber stepping in for TStead and locking up LT for the next decade. Cont.

RG - Christian Mahogany #73 , BC Mauler is an overused word for OL. Mahogany is a MAULER in the run game. Consistent movement and does a good job combo'ing to LBs. Need convinced? Just turn on the 2nd half of the UConn game where BC just keeps running right again and again.

MY Conclusion: Paul is a highly talented left tackle (not guard). He might not have been my top guy at 55, but he was close. My pre draft notes say that he COULD be a Day1 starter, but I wouldn't go in with him as the only option. He doesn't have to do that in Miami. Cont.

@Dolfan2334 The market is what it is. You've been a Dolphins fan for a long time and have seen crap QB play over and over again. Nobody WANTS to pay 50/yr. But what's your plan if you don't? Either your believe in Tua and you accept what the market is. Or you don't. It's that simple.

Devils advocate here. Following covered/uncovered principles - which appears to what Miami was doing, Jones should have been comb'ing with Liam up to the MLB. Liam's position on the nose (taking the right half) helps sell that idea.

This is 3rd & 1 on that first TD drive last night. Miami’s short yardage weakness comes squarely into focus as Liam Eichenberg gets destroyed off the snap, Jonnu Smith probably shouldn’t be the Y trying to prevent an OLB crashing the middle, and Mostert can’t push the pile.

On T. Conner making the roster: I think there's 2 very different roles for the TEs and they were set on 2 of each. Smythe/Hill (Y) vs Jonnu/Conner (F). So all Conner had to do was be better than Fortson, which he was. Rucci may have been better, but he's the PS in-line(Y) TE3

While I am skeptical about Chop Robinson's ability to contribute on early downs as a rookie - I get the pick. He has rare attributes that you can't coach. There's not another guy that went Rd1 that I would have banged the table for. Get a lead, and let the pass rushers eat.

Miami signed Brewer because they couldn't wait & see on Williams. Williams was a 12m+/yr C without the injury. Was not the same caliber as a guard. IMO - He's going to want to go where he can sign 1 year as a C and prove he can still play at a high level to cash in for 2025.

@OmarKelly I get the sense C. Williams will sign a 1 yr deal with a contender and not the Dolphins. It’s a shame because if he is moved over to RG he immediately is an upgrade over Liam and Jones. But knowing the fins they will want to see the Eichenberg experiment through.

I thought this was something they struggled with as a group in this game. Not this specific play, but overall there is a lot more meat on the bone in terms of being better at climbing to the 2nd level on combo blocks. Also a nice adjustment to assist Fortson with Conner here.

I don't see Graham Barton as an NFL OT after watching his FSU game. However, he has good enough film to slide over if needed. He plays with very good technique to help negate his lack of arm length. One arm is longer than two. See this a lot with new Miami center, A. Brewer

I had been thinking Newton could be considered at 21. But they seem to be loading up on volume and letting competition force the cream to the top. And I'm OK with that. Weaver has a DL background and Clarke is a good DL coach. It's one area where I think they can develop talent.

@VBSofficial_ They lost 51-31. I feel like if another QB could only score 7 points over the last 40+ minutes of a game, it wouldnt be enough.

Thanks Kyle! Agree on the 'kickstand' help that would have given Jones a better angle while still helping.

@OLCoachSmith63 I had this down as an 'L' rep for Jones. I assume because he was in a solid 2i, Rob was expecting he was going to get fat contact here and tried to post him to Liam but in reality Liam deserved more trust to cross face and Rob could have given the kickstand help like Lester gave

S - Mark Perry #3 , TCU Pretty close to the Grier mold of DBs. A little heavier and that maybe shows up in his SS that is a little off the mark. Played SS in TCU's 3-3-5 defense. Look for him to compete as an option to back up Poyer as a box safety.

@Dolfan2334 But if we're playing the POTW week game - Herbert has it 3x. Hows that working for him? Mike White has one of those on his shelf too. Lamar Jackson. Ill take a playoff spot over a fan voted weekly award.

Chop Robinson CAN play the run. He just doesn't do it well nearly enough. Both in the run and pass game, he has a tendency to get stuck on one move (usually a speed rush) and run himself out of the play. The potential is there. Weaver & Clark just need to refine it.

I've been trying to figure out what was in his hand. I think it's a grip strength trainer, which I don't think he'd be using casually if not close to returning. Teams are also very careful about letting injuries be seen. If there was a concern, I think he'd have a glove on.
